Surely a long reigning champion would want the chance to get his title back off the man who took it from him?
According to what has been disclosed from the contract so far, if Canelo loses, he is guaranteed a rematch, but GGG isn't.
That said, HBO & GBP may be very agreeable to allowing Golovkin to compete in a rematch if their first fight is commercially very successful, which it probably will be.
Alvarez may also grant GGG an opportunity to regain his titles, if he can negotiate a bigger purse split, which is reasonable if he holds all the belts and attracts the majority of the paying audience.
If the outcome of the fight is unanimously clear-cut (a decisive victory), both men should move on and take their careers into a completely different direction.
I just hope that whatever happens, the outcome of this contest is not controversial.

I care more about a great fight than whether or not the outcome is controversial.
A great fight with a controversial decision is still a great fight.

I think it will be a lopsided fight and a great night for Gennady Golovkin... Then I think the Jacobs rematch is going to loom big -- especially if Jacobs beats Billy Joe Saunders or Chris Eubank in the meanwhile... I believe Eubank has the beating of Jacobs -- just because he super tough and throws a ton.

I doubt it. Eubank has mostly distinguished himself in he last two years by the people e hasn't fought
Get back to me when he beats someone with a pulse
