I like Hammer, but she would have lost by knockout to Anne Sophie Mathis if it was not ruled a no contest. I think Shields will win.

I think that Shields will win too, but I am not interested in conjecture beyond that fight. Hammer is legit and could win.

Mathis is one of the hardest punching women in boxing. Much harder than Shields, at least apparently.

Hammer doesn't seem to have the best chin, but Shields hasn't dropped any of her opponents despite hitting them with everything she's got. I don't think she would do to Hammer what Mathis did.

I agree because Mathis has great punching power. I think Shields vs. Hammer will be a good fight, but Shields' faster hands will be the difference and at a lighter weight, she will be even faster.

I don't really see her being faster, certainly not by a large extent. All her opponents have been glacial, which I think probably makes her look a bit quicker by comparison.
What impresses me most about Shields is the pressure + flexibility of her combo punching. She can put together a wide range of shots in bunches of up to 5-6, and she does a good job of keeping her punches flowing even when she's moving back and opponents are attacking. She also sets things up well with her jab and does a nice job of mixing jabs in mid-combo. I think she'll be able to get inside on Hammer, where the later is prone to defensive lapses, and overwhelm her with volume. Hammer is no slouch though, and has the length and tools to win some rounds from distance IMO.
