That's right I mind that, Limond was never a puncher as well

Yeah tanzio is the worst ever for nicknames, ginger head being one of them.
When asjklsl calls David Haye Daffy Duck is facking annoying as well
Ramming Speed for Tim Bradley sucked too.
I take responsibility for
Ramming Speed.

Tim Ramming Speed Bradley, mostly for his adept utilization of his noggin throughout a good portion of his career.
GingerHead fits Alvarez perfectly. Started out The GingerHead Man. Better than
Red On The Head Like A Dick On A Dog.

I thought Canyellow was a clever one myself (don't know who came up with that), but doesn't really apply now that he's went through with the GGG fight, and a rematch is likely as well.

There was a fighter that fought under the alias back in the day "Kid Killer" I think. I'd say that qualifies
Just to throw a fun one into the mix. I always liked Juan Lazcano's "The Hispanic Causing Panic"

hispanic causing panic always confused me
like, is he a hispanic who is creating panic. or is he a panic which creates hispanics.

also any boxer with 'bad' in their nickname. will have it work against them when they lose or not so good.

Jermaine 'bad intentions' Taylor always made me chuckle.
Ooooh careful, he's got bad intentions! Scary!

As I much as I liked and admired Herol Graham.....calling him The Bomber was not one of Ingle's finest/most accurate moments.
With Terry Downes having just passed.....his Paddington Express seems like a nice one.

Canvas back? That's what they used to call me when I was a fighter I was on the canvas so much.
I used to stand like this...
...But not for long

What about:-
Johnny 'The Entertainer' Nelson
Slugger O'Toole (Fidel Castro Smith)
Another two inappropriate names for fighters.

Mighty Mike Tyson!
He was always known as Iron Mike, but for some reason, around about the time of Ruddock fights, he decided to change his moniker from Iron Mike to Mighty Mike, which made him sound like a cross between a cartoon mouse & a retired wrestler!

Henry 'Sugar Poo' Buchanan. Simply brings to mind a pile of shite with sugar sprinkled on it. Presumably not the desired intention.
I also have an irrational dislike to the Smith family nicknames. Smigga, Mundo, Swifty and Beefy sound like characters from the Beano.

The worst nickname ever was the Boston tar baby. Though you can envision it helping driving Sam to be the goat.

I do like Son of Golota. The Octopus and Mr Kipling...
If we're talking actual nicknames, I'd put forward Darroll ‘Doin' Damage’ Wilson. Eli ‘The Prophet’ Dixon was a good 'un, but my favourite's probably Frankie ‘The Stud’ Swindell.
