He wouldn't have got anywhere near £2m for Vargas. Eddie did throw him in a bit but they could have said no. He was very well rewarded. As for the Spence fight, Kell can't do 147 and be strong. He did OK considering.

I thought he fought well cos Spence. He was up on the cards pre injury, I’m not saying the injury settled the fight, but he drastically went downhill after it. Credit Spence caused the injury, but it’s pretty unlucky to get that injury again.

He fought a good fight but cane up against a skilled fresher strong guy. Who wasn’t coming back from the wear and tear of a middleweight war either.

I hope his heart still in it and if it is there’s no reason why he can figure in 154. He outclasses Liam Smith who (fortuitously) won a world title

Vargas was going to earn £1.7m in the end, before Brexit happened.. he was offered a bit lower before that.. but that was supposed to be his final purse.. being a unification, i'd assume Brook would have gotten around the same figure.

Kell was on less and the only reason the fight didn't happen was because it didn't add up financially.

I thought it was because of Brexit and the £ dropping?
