Re: Joshua v Parker for March

Hearn was contacting the other champions (wilder and Parker) during his visit to nyc with Jacobs. That was no secret.Badhusker wrote: ↑10 Nov 2017, 19:29True it hasn't been made yet. Last I read team Parker agreed verbally to a 60/40 split in AJ's favor, but not sure if they will go for it.
It makes me laugh that Hearn was once again caught, denying that they had any negotiations or made any offer. Higgens claimed they lowballed a 20% offer. Now obviously they have been negotiating, so it is very believable they did make that offer. Decent fight if it gets made. It would be nice to see AJ fight out of his own country for once though.
There’s no chance of thisBIGDOUG58 wrote: ↑10 Nov 2017, 23:03 I Think Parker Should wait...
Fight Lucas Browne in Feb..... W KO 5
Let Joshua fight Wilder in March fo a Joshua Win
Parker fights Povetkin in Mandatory W 12 in July
While Joshua beats Breazeale KO 7
If Tyson Fury is Ready by Sept. This should be the fight Parker aims for as it's Fury's WBO belt on the line... Winner fights Joshua for Undisputed Title.
It's the way for Parker buts others will disagree.
After 2018 the HW division is f%@$ed as there is nobody left under 28 with a good record...
Wlad could have finished Joshua but made a tactical error. He was getting advice from his corner to not take risks and drown Joshua by taking it long. Vitali admits thisGrailer wrote: ↑11 Nov 2017, 00:14 Been watching and studying boxing for 25 years and I think Parker will beat AJ by knockout.
VK knocked AJ down but didn’t have the youth to finish fight.
Whyte almost had AJ but lacked the ability to finish AJ.
Parker can knock AJ down and he CAN finish him.
Can AJ knock down Parker who has never been on the canvas
In his career or even in sparring.
AJ knocked down many times in sparring ..Parker never.
Parker is fast and is around 240 pounds .
The only advantage AJ has is his reach to be honest
Parker’s another unification and one of the better fights that can be made in the division
Judging from the crap that's said about him by some on here I have to wonder
According to Parker's manager Browne is 'plan B' if they can't land the unification with Joshua.
I haven’t read any announcement but I have read Parker is favourite for the next Joshua fightRiddick Blowe wrote: ↑11 Nov 2017, 10:55 Parker is going to take a beating in this one. His toughness is not going to bode well for him.
I hope this fight is on. Wilder strikes me as difficult to negotiate with. Once Joshua gets Parker's strap Hearn should just go back to Wilder and say 4 million or no fight. Joshua can make some defences in packed out stadiums and do fine. Wilder can fight bums for peanuts.
I think Eddie would pay Wilder $4m to face Whyte. I think you could probably double that for Joshua. I'm not saying Hearn couldn't squeeze him to accept less, but fighters facing Joshua have done pretty well so far, and most since Martin have I believe, more than matched Wilder's highest payday (earned in the ring).Ossyrules wrote: ↑11 Nov 2017, 11:06I haven’t read any announcement but I have read Parker is favourite for the next Joshua fightRiddick Blowe wrote: ↑11 Nov 2017, 10:55 Parker is going to take a beating in this one. You're not trying to be honest... You're looking for every partisan reason you can come up with to justify your biased pick.
He's just mental, there Blowie mate. Even the most sun cooked brains down here would have to disagree with him.Riddick Blowe wrote: ↑11 Nov 2017, 13:44Are you an Antipodean person?Grailer wrote: ↑11 Nov 2017, 00:14 Been watching and studying boxing for 25 years and I think Parker will beat AJ by knockout.

He fought in Wales for his last fight... That's part of the same island England sits on but it's a different country.Badhusker wrote: ↑10 Nov 2017, 19:29True it hasn't been made yet. Last I read team Parker agreed verbally to a 60/40 split in AJ's favor, but not sure if they will go for it.

I like Parker. He's a good fighter. He doesn't lack for guts and he's not interested in ducking challenges, however daunting.
Given his struggles with Takam, Ruiz, and Fury (even discounting the Cojanu fight) I don't see him presenting Joshua with too much of a problem. I just hope his pride and toughness don't allow him to take a sustained beating.
Yeah but only a fool would class fighting in Wales as AJ fighting outside his own country . Geographically accurate mindKalan wrote: ↑12 Nov 2017, 02:33He fought in Wales for his last fight... The way we work in the UK is, if you’re good/successful, you’re British, if you’re not or you’re a bit of a twat, you’re English/Welsh/Scottish/Irish (delete as applicable)Wales wrote: ↑12 Nov 2017, 03:37Yeah but only a fool would class fighting in Wales as AJ fighting outside his own country .
