I have seen no mention of it but is this 10 rounder for a strap of some kind?

Just a 10 rounder. Who know's closer to the fight, could be sanctioned for something..

I expect it will be, especially as a main event.

It’s a decent fight either way, even if currently at a lowish level. I think there’s gonna be a lot of money made betting against Okolie who I’ve said before can look a bit ungainly in that lanky sort of way at times. I haven’t seen the odds yet but expect I’ll bet on Chamberlain although I have a feeling it will be someone with a bit of power and a decent jab that will eventually derail Okolie.

They don't need a title. Relatively so early in their pro careers. Forget paying sanction fees. A win over the other will be rewarding enough.

In the grand scheme of things on a Matchroom show the £5k to make it an international title fight of some kind is neither here nor there and helps legitimise the contest as a headline worthy fight to the ‘general public’ that it needs selling to

I think this fight is being promoted very well and I’m really looking forward to it. From what I’ve heard they’ve done about 7,000 tickets which considering neither have had big fights before is great.

There’s been more on this fight on social/sports websites than the Eubank Jr v Groves fight!

They probably think the fight sells based on the names. Not good seen as we have to pay.

I’m sure it will sell but if you compare the pre promotion of this to a Sky PPV, it shows how far ahead Sky/Matchroom are.

They’ll probably have a couple of hundred thousand PPV buys.

I think the same.. It's still a big fight domestically regardless of who's showing it. Is it still £9.95?

£16.95. The Callum Smith fight is £9.95.

Thats what I thought. Bit of banter. Don't need to be scrapping, screaming, swearing at each other to sell a fight. Bit of banter like this gets opposition fans all passionate and buying tickets to cheer on their lad.

Yeah it's very clever, bet they both had a giggle to be fair.

Fair play to all involved for getting this made so early in both guys careers, theres a bit of needle there, both guys relative novices, both unbeaten Londoners, could end up one of those fun fights like Joshua/Whyte where both men are hurt, Okolie's got power but he looks sloppy at times, I reckon Chamberlain will have success before Okolie KO's him

Could easily go the other way mind, Chamberlain has a good win over Camacho, Okolie is yet to step up

I can't wait for this!

I want Chamberlain to win but I have a sneaky feeling Okolie lands a big punch and gets the K.O!

Sound be a great fight!

I like both guys but know more about Okolie as he trains at the Peacock sometimes.

The last video Chamberlain is suggesting Okolie has a bad chin? Probably just mind games as I seriously doubt that is the case, he has been in some sparring wars with some hard punching heavies and I have never seen him hit the deck , sure he got decked by Savon in Rio, but Savon is a great boxer (who beat Joshua in my opinion at Super heavy four years earlier) and a big puncher.

didnt he also get dropped 3x and stopped in 1 by savon prior to rio

though like you say savons a good puncher and top amateur

I have never seen a British Olympic boxer, who’s turned over be as raw as Okolie.
He has power but his footwork is awful at times.
I hoped Hearn would of been patient with him as he’s a fun fighter.
Chamberlain should be clever enough to avoid the big shots and win on points. Wouldn’t surprise me if it was wide.

I voted Chamberlain decision but as fight night nears I'm leaning towards him stopping Okolie late on.

I'm surprised it's @ the 02, but this should be the best free Sky card in a year. because we have "2 genuine 50/50 fights"* - when do we ever get that ?
Can't wait :box:

*60/40 and 55/45 @ the bookies, I don't mind Sky's poetic licence calling that "genuine 50/50 fights" the sad thing is it's so rare. :brick:
