Where is all this speculation that the injury is just a front? Please provide sources??

i mean across loads of forums and stuff. plenty of it here already too.

the fight was supposed to be a month away yet still hadnt been announced or had tickets go on sale or had tv settled.

ya, nothing suspicious there at all.

and of course arum had wanted manny on the card to help sell it, but manny said no and arum was left without him. hmmm....

ya, but i think with good reason.

no fight or undercard announced. no tickets on sale. no tv finalized. no manny on the card even though arum had badly wanted him on it vs alvarado to help sell the card.

all this when the fight was supposed to be only a month away. it was shambles. complete and utter shambles.

Maybe? We'll see. But for now it just amounts to people on forums guessing.

it people having a critical eye. plenty of stuff like this goes on behind the scenes in boxing. not everything is as a press release says.

i think its fair to think about whether there were other factors leading to the postponement.

theres certainly plenty of reason to be suspicious, as ive said. they were nowhere near being ready as they shouldve been with only a month left. it was a total unprepared mess.

but hey! now arums talking of even another 2 months of time! lol convienent huh

Maybee its just me being suspicous , and seeing little yellow men under the bed every night , but a fortnight ago , I said to my son who's a big Horn fan , don't get your knickers in a twist its gonna get postponed ,, Bullshit he said , Why he said , my answer was they want that belt ,

SO.. he said , my answer was, Crawford is probably big enough and strong enough and definetly skilled enough to beat Horn , but they will take no chances.

Explain he said ,,, So i did , I told him anaylize it , Crawford on paper wins ,,, BUT ,, Horn as a atribute , he's big , strong , determined , fights dirty and with a great passion and will to win , and you can NEVER , dismiss a guy like that , hence Fenech , Harding ,, but to do the deeds Horn has to be SUPERFIT ,, they will let him train hard and then get injured , setting the rematch so its impossible for him to hit a peak , you can't peak every month , and its very easy to overtrain , if you try to peak at the wrong times , basicly there gonna interupt his training cycle, and take away that fitness he needs to win .

Bullshit he said ,,, accused me of imagining things , they would,nt do that , Son i said get your arse out of your head , , theres a world title and possibly millions of dollars at stake , They would'nt hesitate .

Today i said to him , Fook i love it when my chrystal ball , works LOL

Seems Crawford has called off the fight because of a " soft muscle injury". Hit a sparring partner on top of the head?

Crawford vs Horn has been rescheduled for June 9th, still in Las Vegas, but now at the MGM Grand instead of Mandalay Bay.

"Jeff Horn is an undefeated world champion coming off a win over Manny Pacquiao" - Terrence Crawford.

"Like it or not, he got the decision and is one of the best welterweights."

"He fought to win. I don't look at it as calling another fighter dirty when he did everything he could to win by any means. I like that. He's rough. He doesn't come to lay down. He comes to win," Crawford said.

Main event in Australia better sort their shit out. I believe they have scheduled a UFC event for the same day. There will bea national up roar if Horn was not televised. He has been marketed well and i think given the way the lead up should take of to Crawford bout it will sell well.
If it cant be LIVE on PPV, will foxtel show it for free (on their standard foxpsorts channels.)

Top Rank Boxing has officially confirmed Horn-Crawford

https://www.sbs.com.au/news/horn-s-vega ... e-official

After 16 weeks of negotiations, four venue changes and a lot of uncertainty, Jeff Horn's US boxing debut is finally locked in.

Bob Arum's Top Rank promotions has officially confirmed the date and venue for Horn's mandatory WBO welterweight championship clash with unbeaten American sensation Terence Crawford.

The fight will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on June 9 - despite a late attempt by Horn's promoters, Duco Events, to have it moved because of a pay-per-view clash with Australian UFC champion Robert Whittaker's first title defence.

Romero vs Whittaker 2 is the UFC fight. It will outsell the Horn fight here no problem, Main Event won't change anything.

I'd rather watch Whittaker beat Romero than watch Horn get dominated.

Im not sure the UFC would outsell Horn. Horn's standing in society is huge and I'd say for the cross over supporters he has a larger fan base than Whittaker. Horn wont be dominated.

Crawford is going to dominate him. He is just much much better.

Whittaker is actually the best in his division in his sport which generally viewed more than boxing outside of a very select few megastars.

Jeff Horn has been sparring 24-3 American southpaw Ray Robinson, who beat Terrence Crawford as an amateur,

Horn went through another savage 10 round war with Robinson at Stretton on Monday and he again gave Horn all the fight he wanted as the pair slugged away in a training session worthy of a world title fight. Robinson also sparred Horn last Thursday.

“Jeff’s got a great right hand and that is going to be a big weapon against Terence,’’ Robinson said.

“Terence is super accurate with his punches but Jeff is much stronger and he hits harder.’’

“We haven’t trained for a fight against Terence Crawford, we have trained for war. We are going to America to knock Crawford out. We have to unbalance him physically and mentally and Jeff is ready to do that."

“Jeff has got the self-belief, the boxing skills, a heart as big a Suncorp Stadium and a granite chin. You put them all together and Terence Crawford is facing a pretty potent package.’’

Jeff Horn has moved out of the substandard training facility provided by Top Rank. Now training at Kevin Barry's gym.

The place Top Rank put Horn in was just plain awful. Glad to hear Kevin Barry has come to the rescue.
