Exactly!

He actually said Spence isn't that good and he would beat him in a rematch.
In a catchweight fight is what he said. Spence won't be making a voluntary against Brook anyway....... too tough a fight for him last time
Spence was calm and composed.

I’ve been critical of Kell for taking relatively easy fights when he was in his prime and should’ve been testing himself against elite fighters. However i think the more we see of errol spence the more credit we’ll give kell for pushing him pretty hard in that fight especially considering making 147 probably took a bit too much out of him.

Nobody should begrudge him a big cash out against Khan although it will grate somewhat listening to eddie drone on about how these two are the best in the world at 154 when they’re probably not even the best in Britain.

The feeling will persist though that had brook been a little bit more adventurous in his choice of opponents and a little bit less adventurous in some of the choices he made in his personal life he might have achieved more.

Yes, he could have and should have fought more top rated welterweights. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but lets be honest, the move up to fight Golovkin was stupidity, really, when he could have and should have been fighting a handfull of elite welterweights and carving out a better legacy for himself.

Brook did well in the spence fight, he was edging it for a bit but i found him frustrating, i think he could have won that fight if he could have just dug a little deeper when the going got tough, i dont like how he came apart down the stretch.

That could have been a big factor in it, but there is no real way to measure this, so it just smacks like an excuse and takes away from Spences victory. Brook choose to fight at 147 that night, and i seen a fight that was well within his grasp of winning, but he came apart down the stretch when the going got tough and in the championship rounds took a knee. Weight drained, eye injury, all plausible reasons, but so was David Hayes toe right?

Bottom line is i was dissapounted in Brook that night, and i wont be surprised if i see him fall apart in a similar fashion in a future fight. Lets wait and see.

A lot of guys have fought their final year before they went on to fight 5 to 10 more.

We'll see how it goes. You always have to take stuff like this with a grain of salt from Boxers for the most part though.

Or a loss in his August fight, or likely if he fights Khan. Looks like he wants to just win his next two bouts JUST to set up a big money fight and retire.

His ONLY big money fight is Khan. He has no one else.

In a recent interview he actually said Spence isn't that good and he would beat him in a rematch. He said he lost the fight because of the eye injury and it wasn't his night. He also said because he was ill during the training camp. I doubt any version of Brook beats Spence.
Lets be honest,Brook has never proved to that good anyway, one decent win in his whole career and that was questionable.
It wasn’t questionable but it was ugly. He won away, well done to him, versus a strong and busy contender. The type he doesn’t really like. Could’ve been much better. Didn’t focus on his IBF belt and mando and has been broken twice physically. Should’ve faced Peterson or Vargas, put on a good show at home, got himself ready for something half a level better. But he always pulled out or negotiated out of those mid level world title fights. But never pulled out versus the easy blowout, dull mandatories that the IBF were offering.
