Always wondered what happened to him. Kevin McIntyre schooled him twice and he seemed to just disappear. The Mutley win was a cracking win for him. Was behind if I remember correctly then banged him out in the tenth. There was a fair bit of crowd trouble. He beat a past his best Eamonn Magee as well which was still a good win for him. Magee was a hard bastard!
Kevin failed a brain scan in the build up to a fight and never fought again. Still kicking about Methil/Leven in Fife, think he works in a factory now. Lad I know through work is pally with him

Teddy Reid was very entertaining too
Not World Championship caliber guys, more like ESPN FNF kinda guys, but I always enjoyed their fights.

Yes, and he also blatantly quit against Chisora. After getting hit by subpar punch (although I'm not sure if he was hit by that punch at all) he went down and decided to stay at the floor. When the referee stopped the fight Scott artistically protested the stoppage

I seen him a few years ago on a site and he was a big guy for a lt welter. He must have killed to get down. Best spar ive seen was him and peely Mcneil, rapid and both could hit.
Against Muttley, Anderson was out on the way down and woke up when his head hit the canvas, was a left hook if I mind right?

Heaviest knock down I ever saw in the flesh without the dude being absolutely sparko, I mean, I never saw anyone take a shot like that without they were sparko. Went down like he'd been shot in the head, head banged on the canvas too I think. Muttley landed probably four or five more hooks big enough to knock out or stop a lot of welters, I could heart the sickening thumps fucken ten rows or more back. That fight must have took years off Andersons career, insane chin and conditioning and heart to come though it.

McIntyre was a classy southpaw though and could cause problems for most domestically when he was on his game (Kell Brook aside lol)

Wow, that must have been an awesome fight to watch man. He was really well thought of up here, he had a lot of skill as well, he was pushed towards the pressure fighting style because of his short arms but he could be slick on his feet and his hands were like a blurr in the amatuers.

Yeah the atmosphere was something else.
Funny you mention him being a better boxer than he ended up seeming, he was much too irresponsible defensively still but the way he boxed his way back in against Muttley showed a fair bit of intelligence. He obviously cottoned that Muttley couldn't work hard for 3 minutes and did a decent job of keeping him active through the round without taking too many risks, just getting caught through inattentiveness sometimes. I'll have to watch it again, it's been a while.

Kevin had an excellent jab. He was better in sparring than he showed in his pro career although he obviously had a cracking career. I fancied Brook to stop Kevin but not in the manner he did. I actually watched the first Brook v Jones fight when he really struggled with Kev in Paisley. We were at my mates engagement party and we ended up leaving the function and going to bar downstairs to watch fight
