Without looking at Boxrec, he had a few fights over here when he was with Maloney? Fought Julius Francis and also at the York Hall from memory. He also fought the big Eastern European dude who burst Mathew Ellis' dream/bubble, both literally and metaphorically (burst his bubble, not metaphorically fought him).

Guy Gracia, the French "Destroyer of British lightweights", had something like 18 fights in the UK, Twice outpointed Dave Charnley although the decision in the rematch was much disputed, and stopped the excellent South African Willie Toweel in the seventh round in a big surprise. Toweel himself had around 12 bouts in Britain.

This was in the 1950s era when British boxing fans just wanted to see good fights between good fighters and didn't necessarily attend promotions merely to support one man. Thus we had Willie Toweel in big London main events against Orlando Zulueta (US-based Cuban lightweight title contender) and triple world lightweight champion Jimmy Carter of the US.

He fought in Dublin 3 or 4 times Mate. And 2 or 3 in Belfast as well. The Paddies appreciate a proper fighter :TU:

I remember reading, after he beat Dunne, that he bet a proper wedge on a first round KO. Not sure if true or not.

Britain desperately wanted to adopt Grandham as one of their own but sadly he was an impressively muscled heavyweight who was impressively terrible.
