tbh i think even johnson might be better than anyone price beat at the time he beat them. i would put gerber at worst level with the best for price too.

Even against povetkin he showed why no top heavy will want to get in a ring with him. If he catches you once he carries immense power.

Exactly. People putting forward the Tyson fury fight as a possibility are just not taking this into account. Price is the most senior member of the who-needs-him club. Nobody above him will fight him voluntarily, nobody. His best chance is to get himself into a mandatory for the British title and hope Hughie fancies the fight but I can see Hughie vacating as he has a name at world level after the Parker fight. Hughie got offered the wilder fight. Price will never be offered a title fight. He will have to get through miller, duahaupas, breazeale etc and I don't think he can.

After Thompson beat him he really didn't fight that many decent names until Povetkin.

Price will not be ducked to any significant extent. He is not currently a bad risk vs reward proposition for most fighters.
