I will not take part on this topic more. It is not fair, Eubank could not see.
Have you ever boxed? Cuts don’t cause sudden blindness you moron

OK, I don't intend to argue with anyone. I am sure that my experience in the boxing and in the life generally is much more than yours, but, again, I will not argue......

You can't polish a turd. He just doesn't have the technique to close the gap without rushing in headlong he has terrible footwork.
He's not going to improve much at all at from here. He's raw and not good enough to be a real world champion.

The interesting question to me is - why was he overrated in the first place? Because he doesn’t have a single win at world level, he ducked a fight with GGG, and he’d already stepped up once at a lower weight and had his head boxed off by Saunders. Yet people were claiming he had all these talents and abilities that clearly he doesn’t have.
I’m not sure whether people just believed the hype he was spouting, or whether they genuinely thought they saw something in him which just isn’t there?
We believe most of the hype that polititions spout, its easy to be brainwashed into something thats not there.
Eubank looked great on the heavy bag and shadow boxing, combine that with a load of old flannel day after day, reading his social media feeds and just being a Eubank its easy to get blinded by the glint of fools gold.
On paper Groves was truly the better man, but still watching Eubank pound that bag and listen to the blarney you forget whats written on paper.
Whats the saying? 'bullshit walks'

I called Groves to win and he did exactly what I thought; kept it long.
CEJ is very overrated and not a patch on his dad, who was at a different level. CEJ lacks power at SMW and can easily be outboxed. I was surprised in the size different between him and Groves: could CEJ make 160?
Don’t get me wrong, CEJ will learn from his but I just don’t think he will be a dominate champion, as he lacks the fundamentals. If you’ve not got a jab, you need to be able to work your way inside. On last nights performance, he can’t do that.
I will give him credit, his chin is like his dads and he does have heart.

Of course. He fought all his fights until a few ago at that weight and lost to BJS. Unless he can’t make 160, I don’t understand why he’s moved up. Eubank Snr moves to 168 at 25, but his power seemed to carry. He lost a lot after the Watson tragedy. CEJ said at the post fight press conference he has options at 160.
I can only assume he looked at 160 with GGG, Canelo, Jacobs and BJS and thought, fcuk this, 168 is weaker in depth and has a better chance to win a legitimate belt, not the unheralded IBO.
He needs to move down as his lack a jab, footwork and ability to get inside will make 168 more or less impossible. If you couple that with his power not carrying the extra weight on fight night, he can’t compete.

I think exposed is a little unkind. I do think he’s overrated as the sound bites had many people fooled. I just think he doesn’t have the attributes mainly physical to compete when his opponents come into the ring a lot bigger.
However, I do think he’s limited and can easily be outboxed. Thinking about it, perhaps your right but I feel he will feel better at 160.

Groves weighed 184lbs last night... only 2lbs lighter than when Evander Holyfield defeated Dwight Muhammad Qawi during their first world title bout.
Chris Eubank Sr. was also only 2lbs heavier than what George Groves weighed last night for his first cruiserweight bout against Carl Thompson.

It's not mainly physical. He has piss poor technique, wide open, no defence, squares his feet up, no jab, no idea how to close the gap intelligently, his poor balance means his power is also not great.
At 160 he is very strong and probably stronger than most of his opponents, but even then he isnt good enough to beat the top guys. I'd say hes around the level of a lemiueux, though technically lemiueux is better.

I agree with all this, apart from him being worse than Lemieux. Lemieux has tremendous power but cmon, although Eubank was over hyped, he’s surely better technically than Lemiuex. Although I never judge fights against different opponents, the BJS fights against both must be paramount in terms of technique. BJS was motivated for both fights.

Saunders was clearly in poor condition for the Eubank fight.
Lemieux can be outboxed, but his punch technique is in another galaxy to Jr's, Eubank generates power by launching his entire body into the punch, as a consequence he is usually off balance, with his chin sticking up in the air like a kid holding a toffee apple, if he does that against Lemieux, he's getting knocked out. Jr has a good chin, but Groves showed he can be hurt, there should have been at least one knockdown scored last night, and possibly two.

BJS barely won the first fight which could've easily scored as a draw.
