I watched his fight with Chisora live & I thought he edged it, but when I watched it on TV after recording it, I thought Chisora won it & having viewed it a couple more times, I still say Chisora nicked it.

Some say Chisora is done, but I think it's hard to quantify.

His fight with Whyte was less than 18 months ago & he is an inconsistent guy, so you never know which Dereck is going to turn up.

He was easily being out boxed by Helenius for those two rounds that Helenius had the stamina to throw some punches. Guy with great boxing skill should fare "bit" better

Browne looked like shit... Part of that is Whytes skills. Part of it is age and inactivity. The version of Browne that fought Chagaev would have done better. After seeing the fight I am still leaning to Whyte winning it even against that version of Browne.

Whyte did well boxing and was able to keep hes instinct to brawl under control. Well done for him and gratz for adding another good name to hes resume

I just started watching Browne - Chagaev again. Last night's Browne barely resembled that night's Browne. I picked Browne to win last night and i think that the old Browne would have KO'd Whyte and become a top contender in today's heavyweight division. I don't know why he showed up the way he did. Two years didn't do that. He just didn't train much. He was supposed to be sparring with Wladimir Klitschko and all that, but in reality he must have been watching tv and eating junk food.

People slate Whyte for scraping past Chisora but Dereck is a fighter who blows hot and cold. The one Whyte fought was the very best Dereck Chisora and that night he would have been a real handful for most top ten heavyweights (in my opinion, obviously)

Lucas Browne has let himself down and also let Dillian Whyte down. Predictably, people are saying he's fat and past it, and never was much in the first place. Let's not forget that he went to Chechniya and took the WBA title from Ruslan Chagaev in his backyard. That was only two years ago and Browne was a mere stripling of 37 years.

I grant you, yes he did look like sh1t against Dillian but it's easy to be wise after the event, even during the event, not necessarily prior to the event. I'm a big fan of Whyte and when I heard he was to risk his WBC number one status against Browne I was excited at what I saw as a very competitive match, as well as feeling nervous for and pride in Dillian for having the cojones to take on a live one, instead of picking a keep busy fight against a no-hoper while his title shot comes around. Not that I was surprised; Dillian will fight anyone if the money's right, that's not a recent development.

Now thanks to Lucas turning out in poor physical condition, the inevitable chorus has started about him picking some 39 year old out-of-shape bum, and why doesn't he fight someone decent? Sometimes you just can't win

He was also on PEDs at the time One of Browne’s main claims of innocence was ‘why would a heavyweight take a fat burner’? I think we all saw why on Saturday night.

..props to him for going to the backyard of Chagaev...however, we shouldn't forget he was on PEDs that night. ..was a no-contest from my standpoint..

Yes BB I was thinking I might mention that to pre-empt the point I knew someone would bring up about PEDs. Tbf I don't think his excuse was too implausible, there again it wasn't an isolated incident. There's a limited to how much 'benefit of the doubt' one can expect.

I do like Lucas Browne. Not to win this fight, but just in general. Unfortunately, I think he definitely could have shown up in much better shape for this fight than he did. Congrats to Whyte on a very exciting knockout in the end. I think "Butterbean in his prime" could have beaten Browne that night, either by decision or a KO.

Browne can still go back to the gym, get in better shape and fight a few journeyman opponents and get a few wins and paydays before he calls it quits . Just not sure he will ever get a win over a good heavyweight in the top 15 though.

Don't get me wrong, I like Whyte a lot. But that fight didn't show anyone anything. The HBO guys were kissing his rear like he had some big accomplishment with the win. Silliness.

Dillian Whyte looked good, mind you we have to take into account that Browne was a sitting duck for a lot of the fight.
Whyte's left hand was superb, his hook jab and more especially the left to the body was superb at times.
Dillian didn't get carried away and showed a lot of maturity in there I got to hand it to him.
His hand speed was decent and his power above average.
Good job.
