Golovkin can afford to stand firm. He and his family are set for life. That doesn't include a million dollar cars or diamonds, but he doesn't need that junk.

And let's not pretend that Canelo can make anywhere close to what he makes against Golovkin if he fights somebody else. Also let's not pretend that Canelo's reputation won't suffer if the fight doesn't happen.

hmmm. If GGG really wants this, he likely needs to take a little less money.
