How dare Wilder demand half of what's on the table! The affrontity of the man! Hearn and AJ want it all their own way and want to start mud slinging at Wilder when he tries to fight his corner and get his worth! Truth is Hearn didn't want the Wilder fight just now IMO. I don't doubt for a second that AJ wants it but Hearn is milking the tits right off AJ before he goes near Wilder. I actually think AJ wins but it's still a risk and one Hearn isn't willing to take just yet....
I agree that I don't think Hearn wants the fight to happen yet. Wilder's people don't either.
Wilder isn't close to being worth 50%. Boxing is a business, and no business worth it's salt will make a horrible financial decision just because people want it to happen. Fans are trying to break down percentages by belts owned or the fights significance when in reality there is one reason why fighters get paid and it's directly linked to what they can sell. Wilder stands to gain a lot more by this fight not happening now, but only if he can ever prove he can sell a fight. At the moment AJ brings all the money; until Wilder can prove differently he should either take the fight or try and position himself to where he can build more viewing power.

I suppose if Wilder were to fight and beat Tyson Fury he would add the Lineal title to his bargaining power.
At the moment I can't see any other way Deontay can increase his profile. Beating Breazeale in his next outing certainly won't do it.

If the lineal title means much to Hearn that would help, but let's be honest, how many more fans would tune in just because of an extra title being on the line? Wilder needs more fans, not titles. He should take the fight, win the fight, and then he'll be able to dictate whatever he wants.

Give your head a shake. That's not how boxing works and it never has been. Joshua's value is much greater than Wilder's and as a result, he will be paid less. Just look at how much Wilder has earned for his last three fights and compare it to AJ. Hearn has offered Wilder a flat fee for the fight, which is far more than Deontay has ever earned before. Plenty of Hall of Fame fighters have taken a flat fee for a big fight - Sugar Ray Leonard did so against Marvin Hagler and Wilder ain't no Sugar Ray.

Also why are the forum I talk about people punching each other the same place that censor swearing. No one who watches boxing if offended by swearing.

Is applying for an WBA extension over and over, sending WIlder a contract (which his team said only needed a few changes), waiting weeks for them to send said changes and then offering to extend the contract indefinitely fvcking Wilder around?

To some people "Oh but Wilder
said...." is always going to trump the actual obvious facts. It doesn't matter that all those things transparently happened, Wilder
said they fucked him around, and it's much easier just to believe the unsupported word of an idiot than to try and make sense of facts and truth. Look who is president, ffs.

ANYWAY Truth be known , i think its all bollocks , NON of them want it , both are just trying to build a colosal grudge match, and use it to build Wilders profile before it happens , Its gonna be build has , Britain versus the USA , return of the revolution , and i bet Wilder gets 40-% but only if its viewed on this new channel Eddies getting into .

There's a lot of folk out there who seem to be preoccupied with Deontay Wilder's bank balance.
It should not matter one jot what his previous biggest purse is; he is more than entitled to chance his arm & ask moneybags Team Joshua for 50%.
The talk is that Joshua is the A side & Wilder is the B side, but that isn't necessarily true.
Yes, Joshua is the A side, but Wilder is the AA side.
Wilder may or may not be able to draw flies to shyte, but that doesn't matter; he has something that Joshua wants & needs & he is the most dangerous opponent for Joshua right now, so he's entitled to try & get the very best deal he can.
I couldn't care less about purses & splits etc, I just want to see a heavyweight superfight & this is the biggest HW fight at least since 2011; it is arguably the biggest HW fight that really means something since Lewis v Holyfield 2 in 1999.
I would just like the fight to happen before we end up with a modern Lewis/Bowe situation whereby a hot fight dissolves into nothing because one or both them get taken out in the coming years.

no sh!t money is going to be talked about, becausue its a huge part of whether and when the fight happens. surely you dont fail to grasp that. and hell, deontay can ask for 100 percent if he wants, thats his right, but it certainly wouldnt reflect the value he brings financially to the fight or a realistic figure given how much less money he generates then aj

Not even close to relevant. More like that person at works sells 10,000 pieces a week and you sell 2,000 and yet you expect the same commission. Where does that money come from?

I get it completely & I understand that boxing is a business, but my main point is to fans saying things like Wilder isn't worth it, or his biggest purse was $2 million (or whatever it is) & that Joshua should move onto Povetkin if Wilder asks for more than they think he's worth.
This is the biggest HW fight for years & it is just that partly because of Deontay Wilder, the threat he brings & his trinket, so there can't be a fight fan on Earth who doesn't want to see this as soon as possible.
What is Wilder meant to do?
Is he meant to accept, say, $5 million for arguments sake, come over here & fall over in 2 rounds like Charles Martin, whilst Joshua makes 5x that, then take the money & run, or should he be trying to take as big a piece of the pie he can & at the same time, give Joshua the fight of his life?
I just get frustrated when fight fans say stuff like that, because they sound more like promoters & managers than actual fans & ultimately, we as fans have the power.
If we stopped buying tickets & PPVs, the managers, promoters & TV companies would soon get their acts together & put on the biggest & best fights & I believe that's what we as fans should be doing & not doing their bidding for them.

Why? Breazeale eats punches, which is bad news versus Wilder. I have no idea who would win an AJ/Wilder fight, but I think a big target without much defence will go quickly versus Deontay 'the Human Windmill' Wilder.
I do think Wilder should do whatever it takes to secure this fight quickly. He keeps getting buzzed in fights and his crown seems shaky. If he slips up before AJ he will never see such a humongous payday ever again in life!

Wilder will likely win, but he's a big guy with a good chin and a big heart and Wilder has looked vulnerable in a lot of his recent fights
