I don’t really dig his column. Without wanting to be mean about the guy, he’s more interesting in the ring than outside it. I‘ll finish on a more positive note - Bellew‘s a great fighter.

jesus, i had no idea the food van game was so lethal
Duncan Bannatye (sic) started on an ice cream van and alledely had a rival plant drugs to put him out the game. Lethal business.
He said if all the fights offered the same money that's the fight he'd choose. I agree though, I doubt that would be his first choice.
But the point is, they are not, so he’s clearly never going to take the fight. If I could earn the same money as I do now for selling ice creams, I’d do that.....
My first job was on an ice cream van. It's a dog eat dog world the ice cream game
I bet you bloody loved it. Giving all the weans with fit single mums extra and/or flake - tipping them the wink - then going back later and smashing their back doors in!!!

I was 14/15 man! I'd barely started the fingering
The single mams in that scheme would've chewed me up and spat me out

decent read but I don't for one minute believe that the winner of gassiev usyk is the fight he would choose in a heartbeat. The winner of that fight would muller him

Thats what everyone said about Haye.......
putting aside what ppl said about other fights , how do you think bellew actually matches up with gas and usyk? does he do it?
1 thing id think is that the winner of the wbss, even if the finals tough, will probably much fresher then haye was.

I think he struggles with both. I just think Bellew has proven that you can't write him off. Most folk expected Haye to blitz him (even acknowledging how far from his peak Haye was).

OF COURSE TB would be competitive - disrespectful and silly to say otherwise.
In the end., I think Usyk dominates him wide on the scorecards in a facile victory and Gassiev grinds out a late KO in a barnburner.
They're young and hungry and on the way up - TB's old and satisfied and on the way down. QED.

haye was ancient and clearly past it. Whilst I will readily admit Bellew's been underrated previously due to how easy he is to dislike, he'd be getting severely overrated if we thought he had a chance against either of these two.

He's certainly utilising his potential. You have to admire that.
I was just thinking that today, he's really parleyed the latter part of his career very well.
Yeah I agree. He doesn't want any part of Usyk or Gassiev. The only fight I can see him taking on realistically is Fury but I can't see that happening,

Aye, it's a cut-throat business
Not seen that in years Sells the skuddy films from the van
The best thing Peter Kay ever did, always remember the bit where they're sat listening to a police scanner and find out about a car crash and turn up at the scene to sell his ice creams.

That's the utterly dreadful Going Off Big Time, another two-bit gangster film in the aftermath of the success of Lock, Stock.
Just actually had a look on IMDB and it's rated more favourably than I thought it would be.
