Re: Who is your top promoter in boxing right now?

Are any of them like slightly decent and honest?
You are an idiot. The fact that Haymon doesn't fully meet a legal definition of a promoter doesn't mean that he is not one in reality. He decides who fights who and that is what matters.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑16 Aug 2018, 05:47Top Rank, Main Events and Golden Boy have all previously accused Al Haymon of being a promoter, but when they went to court, their lawsuits were either voluntarily dropped by themselves due to their futile nature or very quickly dismissed by the judges, none of their cases ever went to trail as they failed miserably to prove any wrongdoing… and we’re talking about lightning-fast judgements that were delivered by the judges in a few minutes.
Do you want to know the conclusion I’ve drawn from knowing this FACT? You probably won't, but I’ll tell you anyway… Al Haymon isn’t a fȕck¡ng promoter!!!
Why on earth are you accusing a man you’ve never met, you’ve never even seen talk, you’ve never read any of his interview transcripts, a person you know absolutely nothing about, of being a PROMOTER when it’s blatantly obvious that he fȕck¡ng isn’t?![]()
I'll let you stew over that one, because you'll inevitably fail to provide a meaningful response that undermines anything I've written.![]()

You do realise that a matchmaker and a promoter fulfil two distinct roles, don’t you? Do you even know what a promoter is responsible for?boxing_rocks wrote: ↑16 Aug 2018, 21:53You are an idiot. Another instance of EO being an absolute moron. If you knew anything about the sport you'd realize that the reason why Haymon is not listed as a PROMOTER is due to the Ali Act and his attempt to circumvent the rules that govern the sport when it comes to conflicts of interests. If you don't know about it then it's not my job to inform you so look it up.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑17 Aug 2018, 03:13You do realise that a matchmaker and a promoter fulfil two distinct roles, don’t you? Can you please name one boxer… any boxer from the 200+ list of names he’s affiliated with… that alleges that Haymon forced them to work with a "sham" promoter or actively prevented them from working with other legitimate promoters of their own choosing, such as Golden Boy, Top Rank, Main Events etc?
You won't be able to do this, because Al Haymon is not a promoter!!! You do not know anything about the man himself. No one from this forum does.
You cannot backup your claims with any evidence at all, because there is none.
I could accuse you of being a traffic warden, even though I don't know anything about you... so does that mean that everyone from this forum should automatically assume that you actually are a traffic warden?
That's the sort of highly-flawed logic that you're trying to apply in regards to Haymon's role in the sport. of boxing.
Does us a favour... will you post a Youtube video of Al Haymon discussing anything... anything at all!![]()
I refuse to believe that Al Haymon is a promoter. There is no evidence to support this claim and nor can you cite any. It’s categorically impossible to prove me wrong about this, but I’d like to see you try!caldo2025 wrote: ↑17 Aug 2018, 08:24Another instance of EO being an absolute moron. After every fight, Haymon fighters not only thank Haymon for putting the fight together but when asked what they will do next, the boxers all say that it's all up to Al.
So you're a jackass blowhard. The exact kind of person that Al is easily tricking and confusing.
In order for us to continue this debate, it would be prudent for you to research the universal definition of a promoter, in the context of the sport of boxing, because if you don’t understand their duties and responsibilities, then you’re going to continue making claims that are blatantly untrue.boxing_rocks wrote: ↑17 Aug 2018, 15:08 Matchmaking and securing sufficient money are two key parts of promoters' job, and Haymon does both. The rest is routine which he is not interested in.

Its a good point - most of promoters rather promote fighters than their eventsBoxing Prospect wrote: ↑19 Aug 2018, 04:51 Dangan
They put on a lot of shows, have a very good streaming/VOD service and as a promotional company and not a management company they don't protect fighters, preferring to promote 50/50 matches
RCC also deserve a shout, they have been putting on some impressive shows recently and popping them on YouTube for free

Of course I've never met your sister x2x, but I would imagine her to be, er ... well, less ursine than a bear and more equipped for dancing, but if an elephant can dance the "Shimmie", I'm sure no self-respecting bear would accept being outperformed by a pachyderm, whether in the woods or the speakeasy.
Say you don't think there is potential here for us to be inadvertently wandering off-topic do you?
You're right. That is a good point.dagilechia wrote: ↑19 Aug 2018, 06:04 Its a good point - most of promoters rather promote fighters than their events
