To be fair on AJ, he was in no mandatory spot. Martin chose him as a voluntary (easy money)..

Again, AJ chose Breazeale as voluntary defence. He's in a mandatory position now though,

I know but Whyte is far more deserving of the mandatory spot than big Dom surely?

I find it hard to keep up with the way they work these things at times. It's all a bit arse from elbow!

Yeh, the orgs have a mind of their own. You only have to look at the WBA's top 15 Heavyweights.

I rate Breazeale's win over Ugonoh and a win over over Molina was not too bad either considering Molina was/is on drugs.

Although I think he was piss poor against Mansour and only won because Mansour bit his tongue and could hardly breathe properly, I kind of rate him. He can give anyone a tough fight, he has heart.

Eliminators and all that bullshiit aside, Breazeale vs. Whyte would be a good scrap.

I can imagine that AJ would fight wilder and vice versa.

But when you have promotors whispering in your ear etc.
AJ has a contract so can't. Wilder doesn't. Hearn is trying to bully/scare/convince Wilder to join forces

How does he? He arguably didn't beat chisora. Doesn't he need to clean out the doubt there before he moves on?
No. He beat Parker ffs

Another 30 seconds and he's stopped by Parker. Not a conclusive win at all.

I have nothing against Whyte but he won't beat AJ. The fight is meaningless. I think Hearn should be making the Wilder fight. But he wants to cash in with minimum risk by using Whyte for the April Wembley show.
Well Croatia didn't beat England convincingly... was a late extra time goal. Shouldn't we have to replay that match?

I understand they need people for contracts.

But surely they can sit down with each other, talk about a split, where to fight, who's the a side etc without Eddie or Shelley/allegedly sticking their nose in

No they can't, it's not how business works and it's not either of their money. Matchroom has a relationship with Sky and DAZN and a whole load of other people AJ and Wilder can't start agreeing other people's money

Whyte deserves a shot at the title, no question whatsoever. I can't think of a heavyweight in the last few years who has done more to warrant one.

The bit I don't get is that Povetkin is the WBO number one, but it's actually the WBA's mandatory fight? What??

What planet do these criminals masquerading as sanctioning bodies operate on, it's like an alternative reality.

Hearn inisitlaly said, as Povetkin was ranked #1 by both orgs, it would have killed off both mandatories. Having fought Takam in a IBF mando, Joshua SHOULD have been able to take a voluntary next.. But now WBO are sticking it in.. But it's likely going to be Whyte.

If fury beats wilder before Christmas people will never talk the name wilder again.,,
His cv is awful for s champion...

Fury v Joshua is the fight I want and if it’s for all the belts IMO it’s the biggest heavyweight fight of all time

Do you think it's bigger than Frazier V Ali 1 or Ali V Foreman, to name but two?

Obviously the wilder fight is wanted by most fans as will answer questions of both fighters.

But if that isn't happening and tyson fury still needs more warm up fights that the whyte rematch makes more sense than anything else. He has 8 wins since the AJ loss, close or not he still beat chisora and Parker.

I'm coming to terms with the fact that neither Fury nor Wilder will take the April date against Joshua, nor will Wilder fight Whyte, therefore this is probably one of the best matchups we can see for Joshua. He also has his IBF mandatory against Hughie/Pulev, other than that nobody else would make it remotely competitive or deserve it in my opinion.

The one thing that could be interesting is if they want Whyte to fight an eliminator, as next in the rankings is Miller. If he wants to take it then we could see a more competitive matchup than the title fight. Other than that you have:
4. Schwarz - who would probably turn it down or get squashed
5. Breazeale - won't take it because of WBC
6. Parker - will probably move down the rankings soon
7. Fujimoto - would be good to see him forced to step up (but would lose)
8. Jennings - who could move up the rankings with a win over Dimitrenko this weekend (or Dimitrenko could end up with this ranking)
9. Kabayel - good step up and potentially entertaining fight in my opinion

Then some guaranteed wins over padded records in Spong, Wallin, Fa, Zhilei Zhang, Tetteh, Augustin

I think Joshua Vs Whyte @ wembley next April was always the plan.

Joshua Vs Wilder is a big Vegas fight imo. How could they both agree to do it at Wembley if it can make more in the US? it is a business after all.

No chance. And it's still a long way off.

Louis v Schmelling was huge in its time as well.

Youre comparing a team sport like football to boxing, really? Jesus or no Jesus, there simply isn't a relevant comparison there.

Is a win, just a win? To you maybe. But life isn't always as simplistic and black and white as some people like to insist on. I suppose we just have different perspectives...

Why for fucks sake? Whyte was fucked on the final bell, out on his feet. Yes he got the decision but the only person physically beat in the contest was Whyte. You did see the 12th round, didn't you?
