Therefore, any media savvy boxing pundit, former/current pro or celebrity is likely to do their upmost to avoid criticism, so they’ll either refrain from expressing their support for the judges verdict or they will try to “fit in” by adhering to the popular opinions held by the mainstream masses, because the consequences of going against the grain will inevitably result in a barrage of abuse via social media.

This is a phenomena that we’re going to witness time-and-time again, whenever a “hero” is on the losing end of an evenly-contested bout against the so-called “villain”, the mainstream masses will inevitably support the former and be outraged and aggressively criticise anyone that agrees with any verdict that goes against their preferred outcome.
