I think everyone outside of the UK knows Joshua avoided Wilder then and now. The winner of wilder fury is the lineal champ.Grilling Machine wrote: ↑24 Sep 2018, 18:15 It's now obvious that Fastcar (and possibly Joshua) are avoiding Wilder. Joshua says he wants Wilder to sign their deal before he fights Fury, so that he can begin training in January. That's rubbish! If Wilder beats Fury he can sign in time for Christmas. And since Joshua's gonna be resting through December and Wilder fights on the 1st...
Even if talks drag some way into Jan, that doesn't stop either man from making a start on their training.
The truth is that Fastcar knows Wilder can demand 50% if he beats Fury in style, and he'll be powerless to argue against that when it comes to the fans. And should Fury pull the upset, he'd also be worth 50%.

I don't need to explain anything to you; but StubHub is supposed to a platform for genuine customers to re-sell tickets they no longer want. Hearn actually sells tickets to his events in bulk directly to StubHub. Corporate touting if you will.tobyh5 wrote: ↑25 Sep 2018, 03:53What the fck are you talking about?
Propped up by Stubhub? Ok we all know the secondary market thing should be legislated against, complete exploitation of the fans but that is a different argument and is not at all fitting into today's argument. No relevance, no matter how it is sold, human beings are buying and human beings are attending which you argued against with some bollox.

StubHub also release legitimate face value tickets as a vendor. You could buy face value tickets for days after hey went on sale.RKY wrote: ↑25 Sep 2018, 04:12I don't need to explain anything to you; but StubHub is supposed to a platform for genuine customers to re-sell tickets they no longer want. StubHub aren't the worst because like I say they mix actual tickets & resale tickets and they differentiate between them.
The likes of getmein, viagogo etc are far worse and far more damaging to the future of events.

I'd love AJ to get sparked before the Wilder fight so that it loses some of its luster.
Just to stick it to Hearn for faffing around.

Re: Barry Hearn says no rush to fight Wilder or Fury....
Warren by the sounds of it, is already getting his excuses in early for when it doesn't materialise if fury wins.
It will all be because they wouldn't give fury 50/50.
Barry was right, negotiating live on radio is poor form & said probably the best he could. It will happen subject to terms.
Let's not forget fury will probably demand he goes second being the (bullshit) lineal champion (was it even that regarded before fury coked himself off).
These things will make the negotiations a volatile affair.

I suspect he coukd sell Joshua vs Del boy to the British public. That matchup could expose AJ though. Del boy won't gas like Povetkin did.

It's gonna be on at 4am and no one outside of the small boxing world is gonna watch it/care. They'll see the result on BBC Breakfast, maybe text a mate, prob not. Joshua is the shot caller, no matter what bollocks Warren and co come out with.
Fury couldn’t even sell a fight against Wlad in his hometown.
You could be one of Fast Cars spin doctors. Wilder is Fury is going to be massive. Joshua certainly appeals to casuals but they're bored now with opponents like Molina & Povetkin.
Re: Barry Hearn says no rush to fight Wilder or Fury....
The Hearns got caught out yet again. They want to fight Miller, Whyte and Chisora instead of Wilder and Fury. Who can blame them? Wilder, Fury and Ortiz are the only heavyweights that could beat Joshua.
They'll make a fortune fighting Miller and White anyway.

Wilder's crap, Fury is going to expose him so bad in December. His record is just knockovers.

People comment like AJ is being protected but the Gypsy man that Fury is, would fight anyone...
Fury (27-0):
Francesco Pianeta
Sefer Seferi
Wladimir Klitschko
Christian Hammer
Dereck Chisora
Joey Abell
Steve Cunningham
AJ (22-0):
Alexander Povetkin
Joseph Parker
Carlos Takam
Wladimir Klitschko
Eric Molina
Dominic Breazeale
Charles Martin
Wilder (40-0):
Luis Ortiz
Bermane Stiverne
Gerald Washington
Chris Arreola
Artur Szpilka
Johann Duhaupas
Eric Molina
I'm a lot more grateful for AJ than the other two combined

How did they get caught out? There wasn’t much that I disagreed with re: Barry’s comments.

The point is this; not only is it a corporate scam that should involve prison time, if that wasn't bad enough, Fast car uses it as spin. He often claims fights "sold out in minutes" - what a joke that is.... that's only because StubHub buy them up in bulk at wholesale price. The line about being sold out in seconds then inflates the price SrubHub can charge.tobyh5 wrote: ↑25 Sep 2018, 10:46You mean you do not need to explain that your point does fuk all to do with your argument. Eddie Hearn has the easiest job in the world. He's just a yes man for Sky who are probably the best sports promoters in history, and punters like you swallow everything fast eddie says. Bet you were first 1 to crack your wallet open for Brook vs Gavin ppv.
Re: Barry Hearn says no rush to fight Wilder or Fury....
I never said Fury had a record of all time great's.
Wilder is your typical "great American hope" like Grant, Arreola, Brock and Thompson, Fury will box his head off if not stop him, AJ will knock him out.

I should not feel a need to defend myself against you but oddly my defensive nature makes me do so.
Read my posting history and you will see I cancelled Sky Sports and told them that it was due firstly to the monopoly they have given Matchroom and second for the shite they then serve up. That they rip people off on PPV and further more, in a newspaper column last year I wrote about the rip off of the secondary market and then about booking fee cons.
If you then just bother your ass to read my posting history TODAY you will see me speaking AGAINST AJ etc. But I can also seperate my personal dislike to then post with accurate appraisal of facts and you are talking stupidity. Stubhub and that shite and inflating prices and all that shite is wrong but it is irrelevant to the point - a discussion of AJ popularity and the ability to attract people to watch his events.

On a sidenote I’ve seen AJ involved quite a lot on the publicity side for Stubhub now.
Wearing their shirts and doing more competitions for them.
I’m uneasy at the whole Matchroom/Stubhub alliance. Especially the active role AJ takes in advertising them.

Re: Barry Hearn says no rush to fight Wilder or Fury....
Essentially the StubHub thing appears a bit like the old "buying in" trick record companies used to do to push records up the charts (and therefore get more publicity). Hearn can claim an event's sold-out - regardless of whether actual attending customers end up with all the tickets - and that in turn creates the hype to boost interest for future events. StubHub in turn benefit from the margin on tickets that have increased in value due to scarcity.

Re: Barry Hearn says no rush to fight Wilder or Fury....
Regarding the whole StubHub thing... them, viagogo and ticketmasters side project GetMeIn are all being run out of the music industry, and that because artists, managers, promoters of all levels have taken a stand, from major record labels, top 40 chart artists to small venues. Tickemaster had to close GetMeIn after parliament was lobbied and they forced the closure. Essentially, what these companies do is have many bot, computers to buy sometimes 40/50% of tickets the second they go on sale, then sell them on as 'fan to fan' tickets for as much as they like (I've seen £30 tickets on sale for over £1k before). GetMeIn was the worst because ticketmaster buy tickets off themselves and charge 2/3/4x more
Anyways, the fact that Hearn uses StubHub is disgusting really but the contrast between the music industry and the boxing industry is... the music industry fought to secondary online touts to be banned as they care about they're fans... the boxing industry props them up because they don't give two fvcks
StubHub is owned by ebay and has a fvck load of money behind ripping people off/essentially scamming them

Trying so hard to not come across as a dreaded "casual"
This is a boxing forum with boxing fans, most people on here fucked sky off a long while ago and know full well what Eddie and Matchroom are all about.
You don't need to ram it down everybody's throat like your some master of the universe
