That's like graduating - then you go on to world scene as a fully-fledged 12 round fighter.
Builds a bit of a fanbase too.
He doesn't have the personality to build a fan base. Fighting Barerra (if it happens) will earn him some respect- from me. Don't think he can win it though. Barrera broke Joe Smith Jr's jaw with one punch.

People seriously think Yarde will fight Sullivan Barrera next year.

I'll believe it on fight night.
im sceptical too...its a propaganda bait statement for the attention of Buatsi!

I wouldn’t even expect Buatsi to face Barrera in the next 6 months, never mind Yarde.

If they’re not gonna fight each other soon, then their respective paths should take them interesting routes. Buatsi wants Burton and Callum Johnson. Yarde should push for the EBU belt.

ppl have been weird with him, like hes some hugely experienced amateur who shouldve fought top guys right away . they also act like hes been a pro for way longer then he has
Sjekloca is still his best win though and that was over a year ago. I would argue that all of of Yarde’s opponents in 2018 have been poor. You then get FW talking about how high he is in the world rankings and I think that drives peoples frustrations with him.

This was never going to happen, as pretty much all the posts on this thread predicted.

What is the actual plan with Yarde, because it seems there isn't one. I've listened to a couple of his interviews with boxing social and I am still none the wiser. Seemed in complete denial if anything.

He's sitting on a number one ranking with the WBO when he is no where near ready.

He's too high on the WBO ranking to fight the likes of Buatsi and Johnson.. But then he's not experienced enough to be step up to world level..

Thing is, his matchmaking has been all over the place. He's been fighting randomers apart from maybe 1 or 2 names..

I understand he has had no amateur background, but then this is were he should have been taken up the ranks slowly..

I have no idea why he's ranked so high with WBO.. wow.. he's defending his WBO European/continental belt a few times..

I don't think it has ever taken much work for Frank to get a wbo ranking.

Thanks Jam. So what is the truth? I don't want to waste my time watching his fights and highlights at this point, if he's just a never was who will never be.
He's a red-hot prospect with some serious power.
With no amateur background and the various "prospect boxes" as yet unticked, it's difficult to know what level he'll reach. He may have no chin, he may be befuddled by movers or southpaws, he may be too patient, lack workrate or heart... or lots of things we can't tell yet.

For now, he's a must watch - he's obliterating fringe Euro challengers, with exquisite one-shot explosive power :box:

Fwank deserves the stick. He chose WBO ranking over the development of the lad. He’s nowhere near ready for Barrera yet.

Ducking fights with Burton, Buglioni, Johnson, all out of fear of losing his man to Matchroom. He’s paranoid as ferk. Then again, he was shot.

Yarde will probably never fight for the British title now, because Buatsi is ahead of him and Fwank won’t fancy that.

‘Then again he was shot’ LOL! I tell ya wot I’d be pretty paranoid if Id been shot and especially as the only fella in the frame is out an about 😂🤣🤣🤣
Wasn’t it meant to be his former fighter. Yarde will finish the job if Fwank doesn’t sort it.
