I’m a big fan of groves but I think he could have been kinder to degale overall on the night. He really couldn’t hold back his delight for the pasting degale got. I guess completely honest, but Froch would have got dogs abuse for being that happy for a groves beat down.
I watched an interview where Groves mentioned he had a vested interest, almost as if it was in Eubank. Can anyone clarify what he meant? Have I missed something?

Groves & Degale is a great British rivalry that'll be looked on more fondly as times passes. It's a shame they never got it on again 3 years ago while both in their prime to see how that panned out. Personally, I think Groves would always have Degales number.
Groves was asking Jnr for his phone number yesterday, Snr said "DM me"

I thought the coverage was really good last night. Calmer (if occasionally off at a tangent) commentary than Sky, good analysis from Groves and especially from Duke McKenzie and best of all.. no adverts on a PPV event, which should be a given. They did a good job, hope they carry on. Wonder what the viewing figures were,

If it’s the interview I saw he doesn’t say vested interest he says ‘obviously I’m biased’ just meaning that he doesn’t like James DeGale

He means in legacy. He beat James twice and Eubank jr so that’s the end of any argument.

I think With Groves and Degale it's clearly a genuine long held dislike. A lot of history there and they genuinely dislike each other.
With Frochs dislike of Groves, you just get the impression he's being a pr*ck. You don't really get any impression that groves actually dislikes Froch either. With Groves and Degale, there is genuine dislike. I think their dislike for each other is up there in terms of british boxing history.
And Groves was a bit pissed as the night wore on. Definitely had a few pints and was hammered giving the IFL interview at the end.

Double standards that Froch gets pulled to pieces about his barbed comments about Groves whereas Groves himself gets a pass doing the same about De Gale. Groves is just more intelligant and articulate than Froch and De Gale so should probably know better.
