Very few boxers are overpaid, actually.
Just look at the undercards payments!

The main card fighters is what I'm speaking of. More power to them, they risk their lives; but that's what killed the sport in the States.bigman1968 wrote: ↑19 Jun 2019, 06:19 Very few boxers are overpaid, actually.

I have no idea why anyone would pay for that match up.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑17 Jun 2019, 18:17 Remember when a champion fought an "easy one" and the fights were on free television and they still got paid good money? ..... Arum making every single fight a PPV is effing bullshit....
Because it's $5 a month for that, UFC, many more fights and other sports content. It's excellent.

Don’t all the boxers on the card risk their lives? Fair enough ppl mostly pay PPV for the main event. The undercard is a bonus.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑19 Jun 2019, 08:08 The main card fighters is what I'm speaking of. Of course they do. How in the world would you read that exchange and come up with that? I was simply responding to someone who thought I meant 4 Rd fighters are overpaid.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑19 Jun 2019, 11:24 Don’t all the boxers on the card risk their lives? I'm not saying you're necessarily wrong but the first time I ever put aside my objection on principle to paying for PPV, it was the Joshua v Molina fight which quite frankly I would not have paid £1 to watch.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑19 Jun 2019, 11:24 ppl mostly pay PPV for the main event. You're definitely right. There are some fights where it alone is big enough to sell on it's own. How many of the 4.6m households that bought May-Pac you reckon bout it to see Lomachenko on the undercard? That make sense?candyslim wrote: ↑20 Jun 2019, 03:46 I'm not saying you're necessarily wrong but the first time I ever put aside my objection on principle to paying for PPV, it was the Joshua v Molina fight which quite frankly I would not have paid £1 to watch.
What made it unmissable for me was Whyte v Chisora I on the undercard as chief support. I do tend to look at the whole bill before deciding whether to part with my money. I don't know if I'm typical or unusual in that respect.
