I'd like to see Dave go for the English.
Darch, Little, Wardley, Kash Ali... All tough fights for Allen and a good way to open a sky show.

He will probably fight some unknown with built up record and then get battered by someone like Dubois for £££ though.

Cant blame Dave for milking the casuals for all its worth.

I think his actual level has been proven, even before Price and can't see much improvement going forward.

Kash Ali is a good call for a fight with Dave. I think Kash would fancy it too.

Kamil Sokolowski, Daniel Dubois (who would be a tough to beat), Fabio Wardley, Mark Bennett, or Alex Dickinson would be good choices. I dont think Bennett will be fighting as it looks like there is going to be an Ultimate Boxer coming up so I think he will be wanting that instead.
Jesus, get real. Dubois would muller poor Dave. lets be realistic, Dave will not improve now. he comes to win so is more than a journeyman but his level is fringe British title level. Given the right opportunity he could earn a british title tilt. a great level and great stories to tell the grandkids.

Allen said the same himself the other day re Dubois.

Said he’ll hopefully vacate the British on the way up he hoped.

After the Price beating I don't want to see him fight again no matter how low grade the opponent is

Allen doesn’t deserve to fight Dubois. DDD v Price is far more realistic

I think Kash Ali and Tom Little could well beat Allen.

i did....you need to delete 'tough' and insert 'impossible to beat as Dave Allen would get horribly KO'd in spectacular fashion'

I like Dave Allen and I’m glad he’s making some money - buying a few houses and getting himself a gym etc......but it would be GBH if he fought Dubois - he said it himself last week - I can’t win british unless DD vacates as he’d be way too big for me.

If the English title is there against someone like Tom Little or Kash Ali then I’d see that as a decent opportunity for Allen to pick up a nice title. British may always be above him, I think Sexton would beat him comfortably for example...

Fight Hughie. He may well lose but he certainly will not take much damage.

He's back much sooner then I thought he would be anyway. I never think anyone wants to retire after a poor performance, especially when he does bring such a decent fan following with him.

Realistically I thought he would wait until next year while planning a come back but as long as it's not stupidly overmatched he should be fine (6 or 8 round fight as a come back bout).
Looking at the British rankings alone bouts against Robin Dupre, Tom little or Kamil Sokolowski might be his best options before looking abroad, all three haven't got fights lined up and barring tom little, they have fought this year at least.

who would even want to bother watching it frankly !

it would be a long night if that was the undercard level

in a way I dont blame allen for wanting to fight again , whats the alternative sparring fodder for the real contenders at a fraction of the money .
But then again he could sustain some real damage as just gets hit to easily .

I was talking about English title and it’s not ridiculous to imagine Allen vs Little for the English I’m sure there have been comparable if lower level fights for it...

Ricky wrote: 27 Aug 2019, 08:27 Not seen his fight vs Price yet but I'm hoping he's taking a softer opponent as a farewell fight - heard he took a hellacious betaing.
If that's what passes as "Hellacious beating" these days, this sport has gone soft.

He took a serious boxing lesson. I wouldn't say he took a beating exactly, though I'm sure he felt it for at least the next 4 or 5 days.
