Loma was never really hurt by Salido except below the belt and was on his way to KO'ing Salido near the end of the fight. Linares and Campbell hurt Loma and actually made Loma work harder..
He also didn't have experience in 12 round fights, so he started too slow and upped his workrate too late.
Exactly...that fight was unchartered territory for Loma in only his 2nd pro fight against a tough opponent He was a novice pro that night and learned more in that one fight than Gary Russell did against a whole bunch of nobodies. It was also a learning experience for his father the trainer who learned a lot about the pro game that night. It's much different from the amateurs.

The part in the 7th round where people say Campbell hurt Loma, I'm not really sure about that, it seemed to me that Loma just got off balance for a bit. It's not really a hurt reaction to have unsteady feet from a body shot. Loma came right back and looked fine and clearly then hurt Campbell the same round.
Loma admitted Campbell hurt him.

wow... being HURT by someone with a significant reach advantage, that must be very unusual in boxing ...what Loma actually said was and I quote: ""He has power and he gave me a couple of good shots but I wasn't hurt."

“It was the biggest stretch of my career because it was like an amateur fight, because it was so technical. Yes he hurt me, he has big power and he caught me with a couple of shots. I was close to getting the knockout but it doesn’t matter, the knockout, the score, it doesn’t matter, it was just the win.

I don't like that mentality, it shows in his performance in not pressing and being content to back off and just prance to a decision

He's undersized as a Lightweight. Going for the KO may get him beaten or hurt in fights that he'd otherwise win easy if he fought smart. I'm sure he knows this.

go figure! I'm desperately trying to find his interview in Russian to find out what he actually said
..what I found was in English and I quote:
"I said before it wouldn't be easy for me; he is smart, technical and he has a big reach," he said.
"He has power and he gave me a
couple of good shots but I wasn't hurt.
"I was close to the knockout but it doesn't matter about the result; we just win.
"I will watch it on TV and understand what happened in the fight, but if I am to score it out of 10, I will give it a seven."

Get with the program loma can do no wrong. He's the forums anti-floyd and no matter how many shitty fights he makes or no matter how he looks, it will never be his fault because Floyd sucks.

Which shitty fights has he made? He's generally taking on the best available opposition.
Granted Crolla wasn't one of those, but he's already beaten most of the Top Lightweights who have tangled with him. I assume they'll be looking to match him with the Teofimo vs Commey winner, which aside from Mikey Garcia is probably the biggest possible fight he could have at Lightweight for now...other than Tank Davis I guess.

"He didn't hurt me in round 7, no."

He can only fight who's there but marriaga and Sosa were of no interest to me. There you go Gil, stick to the actual words and content. You'll look much less a fool.

Or I can just do this whenever somebody outpoints me
That way I can pretend I'm always right.
Just busting your balls though Saad. You're so used to being smarter than everyone on here that you don't know how to take it when you meet your equal...or superior
Now excuse me while I roll up this joint

Superior then?
You know I love ya Saad. I appreciate your fighting spirit on here indeed.
I'll concede you know more about the 70's, 80's and possibly 90's era than me, and you know more about current UFC than me, but not modern day Boxing.

It's the best way for me to shut down a never-ending argument before it starts. Someone like Gil that comes at me with the opposite of what I've said or something not relevant to my point isn't worth the typing effort. Speaking of not worth the effort, where's slim been?
