He's probably a fan. Fox is also involved in the wilder ppv. Getting more exposure is good business.

Unlike Mike Tyson, Brock Lesnar and Floyd Mayweather Jr., Tyson Fury isn’t a retired fighter. And suffering an injury presents a greater risk financial risk to the Brit than it would for the aforementioned retirees. The Gypsy King could miss out on huge paydays if he were to suffer an injury during the spectacle.
And whilst Brock Lesnar used to be a big-name PPV fighter within the UFC, that majority of the revenue stream for that organisation was sourced almost exclusively from the American market.
In stark contrast, the WWE network is broadcast to 229 countries across the globe. And perhaps the McMahon’s have done their research and believe that Tyson Fury has crossover appeal that is capable of increasing their audience in territories outside of America.
Regardless of whether the $15m payday figure being true or not, Tyson Fury is definitely being paid handsomely, perhaps even grotesquely overpaid, for his brief stint in the WWE.

It's 1 match. He's not gonna get injured. I'll be curious to know if he's actually capable of working a match that entertains WWE fans. That's the big question for me about it.

It will be a pity, if Fury wastes his boxing career because of WWE. However, not for Fury himself, as he obviously goes for the bigger payday.
