He wouldn’t. He’d lose every round until he landed that right hand. Ruiz ain’t a mug and is certainly no Brazele. It’d be one of wilders most difficult fights
Will we ever see wilder in against ruiz tho ?

or does he pluck another rematch fight that he won already some years ago to add to the " unbeaten number "
If Ruiz beats AJ again, you might see step aside money for Fury (who I think would gladly take it.)

Why McCallum? Why not Buster Douglas?

I'd think more his Tyson fury or Sanders.

Because Wilders nothing like Tyson in terms of style.

The OP mentioned Julian Jackson and his reasons why he thinks Jackson and Wilder are comparable.

I know GGG, but...who is DDD?

I really don't get the Dubois appeal. He's like a slower AJ...

I mean he is boring and doesn't have AJ's media machine behind him so unsurprising

Wilder is frustrating as hell to watch.
He has great natural attributes: height, reach, speed, freakish power and is realitvely durable.

But due to these attributes and the fact that he didn't fight anyone remotely dangerous for what seemed like a lifetime, he has never learned how to box properly and put rounds in the bank.

He just knows that over twelve rounds he will eventually land clean and when he does, the rounds he lost become irrelevant.

His fights are intriguing though. Because pretty much any top 20 heavyweight can outbox him. Yet Wilder doesn't worry about that and just concentrates on trying to set up one big punch.

As he says himself " They have to be perfect for 12 rounds, I have to be perfect for 2 seconds".

Absolutely freakish power. The effects on the guys he tags properly do remind me of Julian Jackson.

Well he’s the only heavyweight out there right now who owns a proper jab, sometimes doubles and trebles up with it too. That’ll cause Wilder all kinds of trouble.

He’s far more natural than Joshua. Depends how much you rate Gorman. I could see Nathan becoming fringe world level, and he still might, but Dubois absolutely toyed with him. Very impressive imo.

Still a looooooooooong way to go, and he’s at least 18-24 months away from such fights but there’s so much to work with when it comes to DDD. Fury himself is pretty impressed with him ( assuming it’s not just bugging up a promotional stablemate )

I see DDD working close up inside and pinning wilder to a corner and pummeling him to the canvas whilst he squeals like a pig thats just got grabbed by a hill billy .

Joyce would still be touching gloves long after he'd already been knocked out.

He is going on 35 and relies mainly on athletic attributes...they say power lasts , but he relies also on his speed to land. It could be father time + a younger HW who does it. There is some increasing hipsterism going on about his skill and ring IQ now, but I don't really think he has a lot to fall back on at top level outside his athletiscm

As it stands, I'm not sure anyone beats him for the moment

Oliver McCall's ears are tingling!

Watching the fight when Macklin and Smith were saying how Wilder hasn't really got started I thought...have you never seen him fight before. He loses most rounds but wins the fight.

To one punch a top contender like Ortiz like that is a big deal.

Sorry, I just don't buy it. I've watched him about 4/5 times now and he seems as stiff as anyone. He's upright, no head movement and slow as sh1t. Maybe he'll be much better in 2/3 years... right now Wilder starches him pretty easily

Last night Ortiz was boxing wilders ears off then got caught a bit like herol Graham did vs Jackson ,I think outboxing Wilder for 12 rds is a very hard job Fury did great for 11 then got tagged .I think to beat Wilder you probably need to jump on him get close and take him out is there anyone who could do it ? Maybe Ruiz or a Joseph Parker of 4 years ago even chisora might have a chance.
I think Fury's camp must of read my old post :OhYes:
