Parker was arguably at the top (along with Whyte) of the tree of contenders not too long ago, but he runs the risk of becoming irrelevant.
This fight won't put him back in contention, but as long as he fights someone decent next time out and very soon, I will cut him some slack.

That would make a little more sense from a tactical point of view. Although he's clearly a journeyman, he has a recent win over the quite highly rated Teslenko and is now ranked 15 in the WBA rankings because of it.
Neither should be any competition for Parker though. Needs to just get this fight over and done with and make a quick return.

Why would Gassiev fight Parker in his first fight at Heavyweight after his inactivity?
