Roger was badly hurt by an unbeaten Panamanian in defence of his WBA super-featherweight title in 1983 but roared back to win in eight rounds and many of his fights followed a similar exciting pattern, particularly one with Harold Brazier in 1988 in Las Vegas, one of the best fights of the entire 1980s.

shame that he's best remembered for the two chavez fights.

2 rd blowout and a quit on the stool.
