Yeh, he kept saying no to the fight when JJ was on 3 pro fights.. maybe now that he’s had a few more fights under his belt.. he might want the fight now.

USA doesnt care that much about boxing anyway , shame it couldnt crack a million there like Canelo and GGG did. Little Mexicans and Asians are still the biggest names

I’m in the minority that seems to like both. I’m not a fan of Hearn and the whole Sky thing at all but I like AJ, travelled to watch him in New York, and I also don’t mind Fury.

The careers of both heavies have gone in different directions in the last 15 month. Fury ONE MILLION PER CENT will be the most backed fighter if they box in 2021. In that time:

- AJ lost his unbeaten record and that aura of invincibility. Got the ‘W’ in the rematch v Ruiz but the performance turned plenty off.

- Rightly or wrongly the speech at the BLM gathering has done huge damage to his popularity and brand over here. Don’t underestimate the power of The Sun, Daily Mail and other right wing media outlets.

- Fury put on two fan friendly shows v Schwarz and Wallin and had the fans purring with his showbiz approach (Apollo Creed ring walks and crooning American Pie afterwards etc).

- Fury established himself as the main man at heavyweight by demolishing Wilder. Love him or loathe him that was a jaw-dropping performance against an unbeaten champion. He’s now a pretty warm favourite in the betting to beat AJ and has all the momentum.

- The ITV mini-series was a PR master stroke. Fury’s popularity went through the roof after that and him giving €200 euros to buy them lobsters and then release them back into the sea showed what he’s all about as a human being.

- His social media stuff during lockdown - in stark contrast to the AJ ‘buy black’ comments - has gained him yet more followers and admirers. Doing pads on the beach in Morecambe the other day with Big John and 200 people watching in a circle!

If they box in the UK (which admittedly is unlikely) you just watch who the crowd are behind. It won’t even be close.
