In my opinion;
- Jose Luis Castillo (2002-04, first fight)
- Oscar De La Hoya (2007-05)
- Marcos Maidana (2014-05, first fight)
- Manny Pacquiao (2015-05)
He lost these fights.
No
He lost first Castillo fight definitely.
Last time i watched De la Hoya fight was years ago but i thought Mayweather won that one.
First Maidana fight was Floyds most entertaining fight, i had it 115-113 for Mayweather. 114-114 can be also good but i dont think Maidana won that. Mayweather handled that fight like a man.
He won against Manny Pacquiao in a close fight too. Close but clear. Still, i think no version of Mayweather could handle 2008 - 2011 version of Manny.
Manny ran away because Floyd asked for a test, and remember that Floyd accepted his ludicrous £10 million dollar per pound weight clause despite never failing to make 147! Manny, never mastered Marquez in 4 fights much less the fundamentally far better floyd!
And yet Floyd had his hands full with the fundamentally awful Maidana. Styles make fights. Marquez was more dangerous for Manny with his punch power. The Manny of 08-12 would have done much better against Floyd, and Floyd was clearly happy to put the fight off for years on end.

- Nothing better than beating up the the slayer of Tenshin who needed Kenny Bayliss help with the dirty deed.
For reference, first time I saw the poor dear was vs little Jesus Chavez who was whooping the sissy pants off him until the 9th when he landed flurry on Chavez who wasn't bothered in the least, but Ronnie Shields who was hired to protect Chavez from hometown officiating pulled the plug that caused Richard Lord, the real trainer to chew him a new one.
Not impressed with Manny on the same card when that little Dominican Sanchez kept Billy Goating him and he couldn't figure out to just box at a distance for reference.
JL Castillo whooped him as bad as can be whooped. I'm thinking broken rib was the reason, but nothing disclosed. Milquetoast rematch.
Zab made Uncle Rog melt to enter the ring before the bell to fight with the ref and Judahs that sparked a five minute ring riot. Automatic DQ in every jurisdiction save MGM Floyd.
Oscar-Floyd first 6 rds cowering in the corners as Oscar raked him. Climbed into the fight later, but even Daddy said he got whooped.
Maidana the first fight could go either way save at MGM Floyd where the cards filled out in advance. Rematch another automatic DQ or more likely a TKO when the poor dear gets pulled off a Maidana choke to go run squallin' fer Daddy. He was allowed to call his own rest and recovery period after bawling about his little pinky hurt while committing his flagrant foul. Ain't no Man, but a mouse.
Manny- Ref should've declared the nonfight a NC after 6 rounds with ticket and PPV refunds.
As to the few JoyBoy BoyToys still on this forum still making Manny drug accusations, Floyd never did Olympic testing and their March 13th, 2010 fight was pulled at the last moment when the poor dear inserted nonstandard drug testing demands that were negotiated but never concluded. Manny made the date against two fighters Floyd had been ducking, Clottey and Marg. Floyd lost his MGM deposit and much later chose to fight the rusty Balco Shane where he almost got KOed early in the fight.
Manny's civil suit against Crack family Floyd and Oscar won him public letters of apology from the miscreants and an out of court settlement. Floyd would later sign and promote his own fighters who were repeatedly busted by standard commish testing, the worst being 30x testa Mickey Bey.

I'll never understand the people who see Floyd vs Oscar as controversial.
He has SEVERAL fights that were closer than that that nobody raises an eyebrow over.

It's been so damn long since I watched it, but as I recall it was 3 rounds to 3 after 6 rounds, and then Floyd blanked him from there.

First Maidana fight was extremely close, but many of Maidana’s blows were his typical aggressive awkward shots that didn’t always land cleanly enough to move the scoring needle forward. May won but it was close. Seems closer because Maidana was a big underdog. And I say this painstakingly as a big Maidana fan.
Cannot see how he lost to Manny. Anyone got round by round scoring as to how Manny won that?
Between Boxrec average and three pro judges public and expert opinion has it 116-112, 116-112, 117-111, and 118-110.

You recall correctly. Best case for Oscar he gets the 12th for pummelling air.

120-108 Floyd would be a much more reasonable card than anything for Manny.

Maidana was ahead 4-2 but then Floyd clearly swept the last half except for the 12th, which Maidana rallied in and clearly won. 115-113 Floyd

I had that fight 115-113 Maidana, but I don't consider it a robbery. Very close fight. A couple of swing rounds. Could go either way, and it went Floyd's.
Kenny Bayless ruined the rematch. Maidana fighting like he was just showing up for the check didn't help either.

Yep. And I could have seen Margarito with his size asking Floyd some serious questions, whereas against Manny he suffered a frightful beating.

I was rooting for Cotto back then big time. But keep it real, Cotto did not win a single round in that fight, he was totally hopeless. Speaking of weight, he was only 1 lbs lighter than against Clottey from previous fight. But okay i agree weight cutting can affect performance. Speaking of weight and Mayweather - Marquez fight, Mayweather came 2 lbs heavier than 144 lbs catchweight limit.

Arguably lost in Castillo 1, although I always come up with a draw. He beat Castillo in a close fight, but feel it was a clear win in their second bout. Gotta give him props for giving the immediate rematch.
The Madaina fight was close, but I feel Floyd edged it as well with a late rally. Again gotta give Floyd credit for giving the immediate rematch and winning convincingly.
The DLH fight was close, but I feel Floyd was the clear winner.
Pacquiao didn't even come close to beating Floyd. Won 4 rounds max. Cotto won 4 rounds max as well, but did much better than Manny as far as making it competitive.

Oscar controlled him completely. Maidana and Castillo bulled him around in their 1st fights. So 3 losses.
Both of them outweighed him, so why the fornicate could they not Knock Floyd down and out then?
