You’re in denial.

Bud chose the pay cheque and mismatches over legacy bouts.

Compare Spence Jr’s resume at 147lbs to Crawford’s, as well as the calibre of future opponents.

It’s seems that you’re trying to win an internet forum debate rather than discuss the real-world.

Spence Jr’s next three bouts are against Danny Garcia, Shawn Porter and Keith Thurman. Errol’s schedule is fully-booked until 2022.

In the meantime, Crawford will continue facing past-their-prime veterans, anonymous journeymen or even worse, undersized 140lb-ers that are only making the jump to welterweight, because they’re desperately chasing the dollar.

If you agree, then why bother asking me a question?

I’ve already made my thoughts clear on the matter.

I neither agree nor disagree. I just don't care. It's prizefighting. What's your next Don Quixote topic?

He is? 5'8" is hardly 'massive' for a welterweight. In fact his last five opponents were bigger than him.

He isn't massive. He's 33 and is not going to be putting any significant muscle anytime soon.

Terence Crawford is a huge welterweight and has traditionally been considered a “weight bully”.

Terence Crawford posted a picture of himself weighing 177lbs (before he made the jump to 147lbs) and we've also seen him rehydrate to an enormous 157lbs to dominate significantly smaller opposition in the 140lbs weight class (i.e. the Viktor Postol fight).

This is the same “official” weight that Marvin Hagler defended his middleweight crown against Roberto Duran and Mustafa Hamsho, when weigh-in’s took place on the morning of the fight.

Terence Crawford’s rehydration fighting weight at 140lbs was the equivalent of Keith Thurman, Timothy Bradley, Adrien Broner, Robert Guerrero and Danny Garcia’s rehydrated ring weight at welterweight.

Terence Crawford is a physically much bigger man today than his 140lbs heyday.

Different builds and different styles. Also Marquez was only an inch shorter than Bud and started 13 lbs less than bud did and never fought over 140 until his last three fights.

So you’re basically claiming that rehydration ring weights are utterly irrelevant and cannot possibly be used as a barometer to measure “size”?

spence is the fight, but has been for 3 years, eventualy gotta start exploring other options..

i think He should of fought Patrick Teixeira for the 154 WBO title (would of been mandatory if he moved up) and its a soft 154 belt... Its not the fight i wanna see, but then he can try be undisputed 154 vs charlo... Same PBC nightmare, but im sure charlo would want that crack at undisputed.. At least then you can be calling out spence unification and charlo undisputed at once, both great fights.

Patrick Teixeira has to perform a mandatory defence against the PBC’s Brian Castaño.

The champion is the underdog for that fight.

Never said that. I"m saying that I don't care. If Craw fights any bums or midgets, I can choose not to watch.

I am also saying that he is not a massive WW.

If you care to use rehydration weight to measure size comps, please provide the opponents' rehydration weights too. Thanks!

You only focussed on height and by your own admission, you never even bothered to check his rehydrated ring weighs,, yet you still falsely claimed his last five opponents were “bigger” than him.

To make such an assertion without even considering rehydrated ring weights, clearly proves your belief that it’s irrelevant and cannot be used to measure “size”.

I’ve already listed examples of Crawford’s weights and compared them to other fighters.

Thanks.

You haven't listed anyone else's rehydration weights either. So you feel it's appropriate and telling to compare weigh-in weight of one fighter against rehydration weight for the other? That's consistent for you. You are the DJT of tthe forum.

Here are some meaningless 'unofficial' rehydration weights from Bud's past:

2014:
November:
Terence Crawford VS Raymundo Beltran - Contested at Lightweight

Crawford: 153
Beltran: 147

June:
Terence Crawford VS Yuriorkis Gamboa - Contested at Lightweight

Crawford: 152
Gamboa: 145

2013:
October:
Terence Crawford VS Andrey Klimov - Contested at Lightweight

Crawford: 149
Klimov: 140

March:
Terence Crawford VS Breidis Prescott - Contested at Light Welterweight

Crawford: 150
Prescott: 157

Sure seemed to have the size over the lightweights. No surprise there.
