It's only Mexican Americans who are Heavyweights for instance. You don't see any straight up Mexican Heavyweights, and all the Mexican American Heavyweights tend to be blubbery.

your taking things literal though , like i said my brother said to me as kid you have to prove more when your born outside the country of your heritage , like i think there was more irish world champions born outside ireland than in ireland

i started a thread before, asking if there was a korean boxer whose style wasnt face first brawler/slugger, the koreans did like their tear ups

Yeah I've never seen it either. Korean Boxers are all face first sluggers who's entire strategy is to outfight you, and wear you down.

I'll bet going to a Card in Korea is awesome fun. Slugfest after Slugfest.

I always enjoy Korean boxers that are able to make a splash over here, but it usually never lasts long because they're just too one dimensional.

There were some pretty brutal episodes between the Gurkhas and the Japanese during the Burma campaign in the second world war.

The Gurkha's also took loyalty very seriously, British officers had to keep them as far a way from any INA prisoners as possible as the Gurkhas saw them as traitors and would likely draw their Khukuri if left alone with any.

Though, I'm not aware of any Nepalese boxers so not sure any of that is relevant.

My papa commanded a company of Ghukas in WW2. They’d go out at night and sneak into enemy camps and cut throats and take the ears off the dead. He’d get up in the morning and they’d be strung up outside his tent, just so he knew how many they killed. Hardest, deadliest guys he’s ever known he said. His own back was blue from shrapnel but I never heard a groan from him even when he died.

Yep the Afghans are the best guerilla fighers on the planet. The British Empire, the Soviet Union and the US Alliance haven't been able to properly subdue them over the last 150 or so years.

The ROK army was highly feared in Vietnam. They were vehemently anti communist and would go the extra mile all the time.

The Koreans just seem to be face first. They don't often seem to fight any differently. Japanese? Again prob myths based on ww2 stories and too much martial arts films. Wasn't it a so called tough as nails Japanese who cried when Mayweather beat him?

He was a kick boxer in reality, if I remember correctly. Doesn't count.

The japs/ Koreans are all about not losing face. Hence why they’ll never quit.

I found Pacific Islanders/ Maori a hardy bunch when I lived in oz. they’re massive and fat as fornicate but are surprisingly nimble and love a punch up.

Someone mentioned Australians on here but personally I found them full of it and all front.

well mentally hard and good strategists dont have to be related tbf

ive seen tons of jap fighters and they always go hard and ive never seen one quit, i dont know anything about them in the wars
