Tickets in general or around the top?

I went from London but I don't actually remember where I got the ticket, probably my mate who is mates with SJM.

He was not a huge underdog. I fancied him to win the fight, many others did too and many fans gave him a good shot. I always said style wise Tyszu would suit him. It was a massive victory, a huge win, but he was not a massive underdog.

I've seen recent interviews and Hatton is still banging on about being a man of the people, the fans loved me because I'm from a council estate, just a normal bloke like them etc and that's why he had such a big following. He was an all action fighter, he literally battered his opponents around the ring, and it was clear he was world class from early in his career. He had Sports Network and Sky behind him, and the fans lapped it up as he bowled over everyone in his path. That's what helped grow his fan base, nothing to do with council estates, pints of Guinness or fry ups.

Off the back of beating Mitchell, not just beating him but annihilating him, Tszyu was the number 1 at 140 at that time. Mayweather hadn’t kicked into gear and I don’t think he even had a belt. I’m pretty sure Gatti was WBC champ when Hatton won that fight.

I’m trying to think who would have been P4P number 1 at that time. It wasn’t Tszyu. It wasn’t Mayweather. Possibly Hopkins as he’d just beaten De La Hoya? PAC man had stopped Barrera but then had the controversial decision over Marquez so I don’t think he was number 1.

He’s getting to that age where because of his lifestyle he’s suffering with health problems both mental and physical.
He seems to be hanging onto something that isn’t there; currently it’s Campbell but that’s probably going to be a disaster.
He’s likely to regretful of the decisions he made between camps and how that affected his later performances.
He has one and two 1/2 real legacy wins (Tyszu - and the 1/2’s being Castillo/Malinaggi). Not an incredible CV at all.
He just has many regrets I suppose and him showing off his mansion to BBTV recently smacks of him still wanting to be in the limelight.
I worry about him in his 50s as he doesn’t seem happy at all.
Crazy as many of us would die for his current lifestyle.

I want to caveat this by saying Hatton is my favourite
UK fighter of all time.

I'm not sure where this Ricky Hatton pound for pound nonsense is coming from. I certainly have no recollection at all of it being a thing at the time. Pretty much the only time Hatton didn't look uncomfortable and trying too hard post-Tyszu, was beating the ghost of Castillo.

Genuinely don’t know why Hatton seems so unsettled. He had a cracking career and was well supported.

Roy Jones is similar lately. Why’s he telling people how good he was?? It’s plain to see

But make no bones about it , Kosta was ready to finish and he sold his title to the highest bidder , his carreer was over he knew that , the injury to his shoulder was a bad one and his glory days were never coming back ,

He’d fought there 15x too. In that arena.

I don’t think Tszyu really wanted to be there - the kings ransom got him there.

he was definitely mentioning 'p4p' both in reference to beating KT and later in the buildup to/ after Floyd ('only lost to p4p no1'.

He now refers to Floyd as the greatest fighter ever. He would, obviously.
