When was the last time Canelo asked for a catchweight bout or a rehydration clause?
The last time he fought at 175. Several catchweight bouts. Are you fairly new to boxing?

Bivol is a much tougher style matchup for Canelo. He would definitely win rounds with his high output offense. And yes he does have the power to keep Canelo honest. Canelo still fights in spurts while Bivol punches for three minutes of every round and also has a very high ring IQ. Bivol is also a smaller light heavy so cutting to 168 lbs shouldn't take too much out of him.

Canelo could face a cab driver or a janitor during Mexican Independence Day weekend and attract an audience big enough to justify his guaranteed minimum purse, especially on a network like Fox.

I’m surprised the PBC declined this request. They could have kept David Benavidez on standby, by moving his bout against Uzgategui to the 18th September (appearing on the Canelo-Plant undercard).

And let’s be perfectly honest, the chances of Caleb Plant suffering a major injury and withdrawing from the bout within a six-week timeframe are remote.

"Dmitry Bivol in training for Canelo Alvarez bout on September 18"

Promoter Eddie Hearn has always had Bivol, 30, as a back-up option and the undefeated Russian and his team are clearly keen on the fight.

So we’ve been in touch with Dmitry and they are ready to fight Canelo Alvarez on September the 18th,” Matchroom Boxing boss Hearn told The DAZN Boxing Show.

They have been sort of training really for the last two or three weeks in the hope that they do get that pick.

“Bivol is the front runner in my opinion for that slot on September the 18th. I think if it’s not Bivol then I think there is a very good chance that September 18 will be put on hold and we will move on to another date and potentially another opponent.”

I hope Canelo is pride enough as a champion to fight Bivol at 175 for his title! I have high expectations for Canelo but tbh Bivol was saying he'd fight Canelo even at 168! So it would not be fair to put all the "blame" on Canelo.

If I was Canelo, I’d permanently blacklist Caleb Plant.

The American has received three separate offers to face Canelo and they’ve all fallen through.

I've already posted a rebuttal, which even included a video interview, that everyone seemingly ignored, because the facts it conveyed didn't support their preferred narrative.

Bandog posted an article claiming there was a rehydration clause in Kovalev's contract for the Canelo bout, but I then responded by posting a video interview of Krusher's own manager claiming there wasn't a rehydration clause.

Therefore, what's so funny? If I cite a fact, one which you either agree with or can't refute, then where's the humour in that? :-?

Why do you feel I was "caught off guard" and "OWNED", do you not have fully functional eyeballs and ears to comprehend the video I posted?

I've supplied you link before (see earlier in this thread), but I'll give it to you again, so you can't pretend you've never seen it.

"SERGEY KOVALEV manager Egis Kilmas NOT surprised CANELO didn't ask for rehydration clause!"

So I don't quite get it.

If I'm supposed to be offended, then can you please explain the reason why?

Canelo is a smart man. He learned a lot from FMJ. Anyway I'm ok with the rehydration clauses as long as the fights are made at the official weight category especially for a world title and not at a catch weight.

This time eo got FACT'ed by Bandog . :OhYes: :TU:

None of them are as reputable as Kovalev’s own manager.

If the horses mouth tells you there’s no rehydration clause, then there really is no rehydration clause.

Don’t ignore their words, simply because you deem it to be an inconvenient fact, and start trusting others, due to you preferring their account of things.

Horse's mouth? I'm assuming you're meaning what Egis Klimas, Kovalev's manager says? What words directly from his mouth made you come to that conclusion? Was it the part where he said 'I don't know'?
You're good at quoting, so please quote me the words 'directly from the horse's mouth'.
