its a good point because experience fighters take a knee to save a pounding , i swear there was an african fighter that got dq for hitting when a fighter was down on a uk card few years back was, charlie edwards a couple years ago aswell i think,
J. C. Martinez vs Charlie Edward's
that ended up being no contest.
They didn’t need to even go away and appeal.
It all happened in the ring after the fight. WBCMoro got involved straight away.
I think he would have let it fly, but when the promoters and commentary and pundits are pushing it so much, he had no choice.
Same thing with the Nevada state Comm, when Rigo KO’d Flores was it?
Was gonna count as a KO, but the guys on HBO, Lampley and Co, they have so much hatred towards Rigo, they kept going on and on. Half hour at least and got Bob Bennett involved as well.
So basically, if you want something done, you gotta make noise.

The ref was a shambles.
Take a look in the mirror.
People get blinded about the fighters they like. Skeete was gassed due to the fact he was on his bike the entire fight and the knock downs came when his feet slowed. Writing was on the wall, his fans should accept he was getting stopped regardless of couple of illegal digs or not.
I dont think you get it do you..... he was hit whilst on the floor....... not just once. If it was the other way round and Skeet did it and got chucked out nobody would have had a problem with it
Skeete boxed on after getting time to recover and his opponent losing a point, at this point it's just sour grapes.

Think that's what fans need to start doing, and start calling on politicians, gambling commissions etc to get involved. It's not like the BBBofC haven't been given chances to sort their act out, and have decided to bury their head in the sand. It's time now for the voices to be raised from boxing to betting companies, MP's, the department for Sport and Culture, gambling commissions, TV channels and Sponsors. The stakeholders who have more power (and money) than the fighters and fans.

It was a poor show overall spoiled by poor refereeing by Steve Gray and Ian John Lewis and some terrible mismatches such as Itauma fight.
So Robert Smith and the BBBoC are partly to blame but will hide away as usual. Then they wonder why crowds and viewers have dwindled away.
It should be a no contest and immediate rematch. A blatant DQ that altered the contest but good old Steve Gray wants the home fighter to win and keep Wazza happy. Shameful and dangerous stuff.

Totally agree, it's the only way these corrupt dinosaurs like Smith and the BBBoC and Steve Gray and IJL will get replaced.
People need to write to their MPs and the media, or this nonsense will continue. Then you have utter clowns like Steve Bunce there just to toe the line. All a little club.

"Dear my MP,
I think the result of the Bradley Skeete fight should be a DQ, at the very least a No Contest. The referee only deducted a point and deemed Skeete fit to continue, but he went on to lose the fight. If you could please raise this pressing issue in Parliament, preferably on a day when Prime Minister Boris Johnson is in attendance.
Sincerely, Peter Barlow"

You're obviously a moron or had money on Sheeraz that you can defend 3 punches to a man down. Haven't seen anyone defend it but yourself so have at it

Not the bbbofc but remember brodie vs chi 1 when they announced chi as the winner when I think it was a draw or even brodie win.
They announced a different result from the changing rooms

I don't think the illegal shots were a huge factor, the writing was on the wall.
I disagree i think they were a massive factor, was taking a knee because he was a bit overwheelmed and slightly hurt, then got hit with some stunner last one was crisp and unexpected without that he could of survived and recovered in my opinion.
But, i dont think it matters if he was going to win or not, to me even if its the last min of the last round and the sheeraz is up by 10 rounds, you commit a foul that blatent and it baddly hurts someone (to a point where it should be stopped) i think you should get DQ'd. Even if you were seconds from victory the foul is DQ worthy.
You can't call a DQ or a NC every time there is a foul. The ref handled this one perfectly.
Oh dear

No point on quoting me, I can't change the result. Get your letter posted to your local MP and if that doesn't work you could start a petition?

I'm sure there was one I read about years ago, but can't find it.
There is one from abroad involving a British boxer , Kerry Hope v Poomarase Yoohanngoh
The fight was scored a split draw, and then the WBC reviewed it and fight was scored again from video and a unanimous decision awarded to Hope.
I've no idea why this under the radar fight was given that treatment though

Did Ingle tell Skeete to stay down? If he didn't, why didn't he?

Ingle was very loud in the corner. I was hoping he was telling him to stay down. I certainly would have done.

I’m confused. I thought Skeete was legitimately knocked down in round 8. But it didn’t count because Sheeraz was exposed as an overhyped prospect earlier in the fight.
Good job Sheeraz can’t bang either otherwise Bradley wouldn’t have been able to carry on.

It was Skeete’s choice to continue and he looked fine to do so. No one here has lambasted Ingle for not pulling him out inbetween rounds as they rightly did when he allowed Galahad back out to get ironed by Kiko.
It was soft refereeing for sure, and Gray needs demoting for a period to have a think about his actions. But who genuinely thought Skeete was going to survive until the end once he’d been decked, regardless of him being clipped when down?
Skeete is shot and Sheeraz is shit. The end.

I thought it was a disgrace from Sheeraz to do that. When things like that are not being punished in boxing then you can expect more of it to happen.
