On a similar topic .. did anyone read Eddie’s review of the 2021 boxing year on BBC website .. it was in fact just a review of his own stuff no mention of anything else as far as I could see ..

What happened there?

if i recall, there was some confusion over when a russian fight/card was starting, bunce gave some misinfo on twitter, another guy tweeted the correct info, which badly triggered bunce's sensitive ego and caused him to go into a bizarrely sustained and intense personal attack on the guy, which made absolutely no sense cuz the guy was just relaying info that he got (that was correct) and never went after bunce of anything

Don,t do twitter so i,ve nwver seen them , but i,ve read on here enough about him threatening people ..... posters .... with shite or sending people round ,, alls i know is ,, threatend me , i,d be waiting outside the studio , or a boxing show ,, just to show him , just because you mix with fighters it don,t make you one , especielly when your carrying a big fat overweight belly , and get out of puff shouting in a microphone

Yeah you dont talk about the review of 20221 without mentioning Fury vs Wilder 3.

Mind you the 5 live boxing awards hardly mentioned Joshua vs Usyk. For me as an event it eclipsed Fury vs Wilder 3....bigger stadium , more genuine intrigue before, great walks.

Usyk should have got more recognition for what he did in 2021

I've met Steve a few times and can confirm, he's a bit of a knob.

Bunce is a sell out. Back when boxing was mostly on allegedly I rather strangely enjoyed the punditry of Bunce and Steve Lillis, it was raw, like watching 2 mates in a pub chatting about the fight scene. That worked for him. His attempts at being a more polished presenter for hyper-woke producers at BT doesn't fit him at all.

Icing on the cake was his post-fight interview with Fury after Wilder 3...

Bunce: "Is that the best fight you've ever seen?"
Fury: "I didn't see it, because I was in it"



That.... or the black history month where they set it up for David Haye and cut to Bunce instead

I remember back in his setanta days he read out a txt of mine on the Boxing hour for some poll he was doing then a couple years ago I won a copy of his book from him on Twitter, we exchanged a couple DMs mainly concerning my details but I always had a bit of a soft spot for him but there's no denying he can be super sensitive on social media, some of it is just bizarre

I was a big fan of his when he had free reign on his solo show, nevertheless he is very thin skinned and he has had to follow his paymasters rules on many occasions, remember Audley?
