Talk about - Beefy's Fake Beef Backfire - as the redtops will have it.
Smith now goes into this fight worrying that he will be cancelled. And he probably will. So no good night's sleep for him.

Eubank Jr won that part of the presser hands down. I don’t believe Jr to be gay so he could have easily just said ‘no im not gay’ but he deliberately didn’t answer the question for an extended period while Liam hung himself a bit.
Despite that tho I still want Smith to win.

wouldnt shock me if cej is gay , and i mean it just adds insult to injury now for smith if this supposed gay man beats him
the fantastic emile griffith enjoyed men too, doesnt mean dude can't be a bad arse AROUND the ring

Watch two boxers try to knock each other unconscious but do not insinuate that someone might be gay.
Well it's just in very poor taste but now people will make a big deal about it being removed and pretend it's other people making it a big deal
There were quite a few people disturbingly happy when that openly gay American boxer got KOd badly a few years ago I remember
I don't understand why people feel the need to come out in the first place. Who we have sex with has nothing to do with anyone else.
That SHOULD be the case yet this whole thread is about Liam Smith implying there's something wrong with being gay, and a lot of people still feel there's something wrong with being gay, and some gay people even think it's wrong to be gay and struggle to come to terms with their sexuality
It's not about making a dramatic performative announcement, which it's why it's unfortunately though it's better nowadays, it's still a big deal to be "officially" recognised as a gay person

I wouldn’t want to be Liam when he see’s his Missus next…even if the cheating stuff is BS hes getting it. Let’s hope he is staying away until after Saturday, otherwise there might not be a fight

Bigotry can be hard and soft (penis joke here)
For example the often used excuse of "what do you expect from people who get punched/hurt others/do blood sports for a living"
That's called the soft bigotry of low expectations, boxers get it all the time

Terrible from Liam Smith. Shows the mentality of them. When they do things like this, they still don't even have the ability to understand why they come across as scumbags way after the fact.

This is nothing. So what? They're fighters and they're wound up tight right now. No gay people give a shit about this. And gay and straight people get the slur.

anyone remember when liam and swifty were arrested for this - maybe it makes more sense now
Merseyside boxing brothers arrested and bailed over street brawl in Liverpool's gay quarter
Ouch, if they're taking violence to the "gay community" that's not right.

Poor form from Eubank, missing a clear opportunity to reference the build up to Rahman v Lewis II by inviting Smith to bring his sister along to verify Eubank's sexuality
Would have been a quality answer! Or his mother!!
But it's all hype, building up to a great fight

Haha thats funny. I used to do the door on superstar boudoir , the club mentioned, twice a week. Handy number. Loads of birds actually. Nobody ever mentioned that. Tony bellew actually came in 1 night tho with either a mate or brother , they had a laugh

I mean come on, it’s no surprise that a rough and ready hard-case like Smith is not going to tread daintily around the issue. It’s just the way things are in British sport at present, for the same reason not one footballer will come out as gay among the hundreds of thousands who play in this country. And boxing is even more macho.
Funny that the tenderfoots at sky are clutching their pearls in horror.

Only real way to get under Eubank Jr's skin is to mock his mentally ill father. I think current boxers respect the past greats to do that though, but it'd work.

I enjoyed it when CEJ said that he thought Tony Bellew was the biggest arsehole from Liverpool but that Liam had now taken that title
