This is the same issue I had with Hunter a few years back. Career stagnating, fighting low-end opposition, and a ranking based more off hype and the eye-test than actual achievement.
Heck, I'm not sure I can even watch highlights of Wallin's latest fight.
Ultimately, for me, the fight that put Wallin on most people's radar is now nearly 4 years old. The win over an out of shape Breazeale was also nearly 2 years ago.
Fighters like Dubois and Makmudov deserve a spot now more than Wallin.
Out for me.

nah, he was fine being in when his results were recent, ppl always overestimate how sh!tty it gets at the bottom end of top 15-20. giving serious trouble to the #1 and clearly beating a recent contender (who is still a top 3 opponent for wilder's win column lol) gave him good argument. obviously he didnt keep the momentum up though and deserves to slide
there was talk of him vs whyte in april, should be right back in if he wins that, never doubt the otter

If to pull him out, there will be a huge debate, whom to put instead, since the other contenders are about the same (un)worthy. A one decent win can change everything.

There are boxers below 15 that have better recent activity and wins that Wallin since his last decent win.

-Efe and Demi could both jump into the top 15 now.
-DDD almost but his last win was very weird.
-Jar anderson could nearly leap in given his demo job of forrest...
-Deadset lucus brown could be on the list right now given how weak things are... if he chins big roidy miller in march im voting him in hhaha.

That would be an insane but very possible turn of events.
For me, right now, the only possible entrants could be Yoka, Makhmudov, Ajagba or Zhang but Zhang would rely on disagreeing with official results. Dubois, Anderson and Franklin are all one more improved win away for me. Demirezen would only go in for me if Efe is already there above him.

Mak is my shout..
His opponents have improved and each time he is fighting and winning opponents that are better than Booker and the last guy Wallin just fought.

Just had a proper think of how my current top 15 would go and it feels like it's all over the place but there just isn't enough activity or stand out wins. I know people will argue with the positions of Usyk/Fury, Joyce, Wilder and Chisora because of the "eye test" but their records leave them there for me.
1) Usyk
2) Fury
3) Joshua
4) Ruiz
5) Whyte
6) Joyce
7) Parker
8) Wilder
9) Sanchez
10) Bakole
11) Ajagba
12) Chisora
13) Hrgovic
14) Makhmudov
15) Demirezen
4-7 is difficult but I've gone with strength of resume and favouring more recent head to head wins.
9-5 is mostly picking guys who have the best wins of the remaining top 30 or so guys but there's not much in it. Ajagba's position has been boosted by Demirezen's wins since their fight. A win for Takam over Yoka would probably switch Makhmudov and Bakole in this list but a win for Yoka would probably leapfrog him over Makhmudov.

Could you really make an argument that anyone from number nine all the way down to number 15 would actually have a shot of beating anyone from number 8 to number one? I don't see how anyone really could. That's why I think a lot of these ratings today are not really all that solid. Competitors often ranked in the top 10 or 15 in reality ought to be in the top 20 or 30.

I think there are match-ups that would be very uncomfortable for Whyte, Parker and Wilder. Those three are definitely vulnerable.
Whyte v Hrgovic (I like Whyte, but think Hrgovic outpoints him)
Parker v Bakole (Bakole could grind out a win as Parker has been a bit flat)
Wilder v Sanchez (Sanchez based on ranking was clearly swerved in the eliminator by PBC/WBC in favour of lower ranked sparring partner Helenius)

Now that AJ is looking at Franklin Surely dempsy vs huni headlining match rooms next Australia card… would be a good fight too.

Will post a thread over the weekend. Throw me some names, realistic names, that can enter at #15.
I have these so far..
Arslanbek Makhmudov
Daniel Dubois
Efe Ajagba
Zhilei Zhang
Ali Eren Demirezen
Any more?
Will put them to a poll.

The records of Yoka and Dubois are probably on a par so if Dubois is included then Yoka probably should as well. Don't think either should be selected though. I don't think Anderson and Franklin are close enough yet but they would probably be the next closest.

Efe is the guy I think. Shaw, demi, rice. Sadly is a decent resume these days.
MAKtruck had a decent 2022.
Franklin in many eyes beat a guy in our top 10 recently…
Anderson on tallent, Mabey 1 away on resume although you could say how he is doing it is worthy of a spot already.
DDD except for how weird his last fight was…
Overall I think efe or just leave it vacant. But see how others feel.

Jared Anderson will be out on the Stevenson/Yoshino card in April. If that's a big fight he might earn himself into the rankings after that.
