This is really sad. Michael Watson is genuinely easier to understand and he sustained huge injuries. Sad to watch. He should have packed it in years ago

Good grief, Toney sounds shocking.
He also needs to stop with the Just For Men on his beard.
He's 55 years old; just embrace the grey!

Proof that he did not always talk like that

It must be hard for someone like Ruddock to accept that he's a washed-up 60 year old, because facially he looks a lot younger, so he probably looks at himself and thinks he can still rumble.
I don't know what planet Toney is on, because he cannot have heard himself speak in the last 15 years if he thinks he isn't damaged goods.

I think there are a couple of James Toney events over the past couple of years which have been cancelled even though they were exhibitions because there still needed to be some licensing. Hopefully this will be the same because the man does not need to be hit in the head anymore

who would watch this?
answer:
nobody in his right mind. surely no real boxing fan.
you just can't support such tragic farce of an 'exhibition'.
even if it's a pulled punches/no attacking the head 'exhibition'. you must have some kind of pretty serious sadomasochistic mental disorder to actually watch and pay for it.

Thanks for posting that. I was sure he used to be easy to understand and on point. The difference is devastating and ultimately sad.
No way should he be allowed to fight. The man is facing dementia around the corner, if not already.

You have to wonder what Triller's MO is?adislav123 wrote: ↑01 Jun 2023, 14:27who would watch this?

Do they think that anyone is really interested in watching washed-up and/or brain damaged legends punching each other when they're pushing 60 years old?
I thought Evander Holyfield's shambolic performance against Belfort, where he fell apart like a Primark suit when Vitor slightly upped the ante would have put paid to this crap, but alas not,

My son was in an amateur show a year ago and Razor was there coaching some kids.Redback Rasta wrote: ↑25 May 2023, 19:39 The 58th anniversary of Ali vs Sonny Liston was a couple of days ago and Razor Ruddock was around in those days because he is 59.
That provides a bit of perspective on how ancient Ruddock really is and why he shouldn't be going anywhere near a boxing ring anymore.
My table was right beside the corner Razor’s guys were fighting out of.
He is still a big powerful looking guy but I was shitting myself every time he went up the ring steps… I was sure he was going to take a header as his balance was just awful!!!
He was a really nice guy who took photos and autographs with anyone who approached him and had a huge smile while doing so.

It looks like this will actually go ahead, both Toney and Ruddock have posted about it recently and did interviews promoting it.

Looks set.
Rumble in the Sun
Kingston, Jamaica.
With a performance from Beenie Man himself.

Toney the PED cheat will be roided up to the eyeballs.
Re: James Toney vs. Donovan 'Razor' Ruddock | Triller Exhibition - November 11, 2023
Isn't Ruddock from Jamaica originally?
That might be the only way they can find a paying audience for this thing honestly. Is to go to a country that doesn't have as many entertainment options, and maybe has a fondness for Ruddock because of his heritage.
I think you'd have a hard time getting people to come to this with Free tickets in a lot of places.
