That's what I'm hoping to see.

I suspect however it will be a laboured effort from AJ with a stoppage mid fight.

I think we have certainly seen the best from AJ and this hand picked opponent shows that, but saying that who else is there to fight at short notice?

In order of a combination of possibility of them being fit and available and likelihood of Hearn picking them as an opponent: Hrgovic, Ruiz, McKean, Wallin, Kabayel, Bakole, Hughie, Ortiz, Miller, Chisora maybe a few others, then Helenius. The fact that Helenius Vs Chisora would be toss up says a lot. Maybe I'm being too optimistic about who they could have brought in but a number are ready to fight on that night and a number have put their name in the mix. I know there are risks with fighting an opponent that hasn't been prepared for but Joshua should be able to beat most of those I mentioned without even breaking a sweat, yet they'd stil be better opponents than Helenius.

Generally I agree with you Stu but Helenius is a well worn 39 years old.

I think you’re being far too optimistic about who they could get in on a week’s notice.

Hrgovic - been preparing for a southpaw in McKean and is mandatory already for Usyk. Can’t see him taking the AJ fight unless for loads of money.

Ruiz - never going to happen on a week’s notice. He’d want far more than Whyte was getting and was probably somewhere on the west coast.

McKean/Wallin - both southpaws. AJ’s been training for an orthodox fighter and wants that to prepare for Wilder.

Kabayel/Bakole - who knows. Both would work but no idea on what shape they’re in.

Hughie - hasn’t fought in ages and still developing his man strength.

Ortiz - southpaw and no idea what shape he’s in.

Miller - Eddie said he’d never work again with him and I’d be surprised if he’s licensed by the board.

Chisora - I’d hate to see that and given AJ’s company manages him I can’t see it being seriously considered despite what Del says.

Yep. He won't be looking at taking too much punishment.

That said. I think he is good enough to survive for a few rounds at least. Potentially making Joshua look even worse.

It's a lose/lose situation for Joshua
