Why do some people get such a thrill out of calling him Luke
like it’s some kind of big secret we dont know that they are exposing

I do love a good compliment.
Is it the same guy that always referred to AJ as 'The Nigerian'?leejonesjnr wrote: ↑20 Aug 2023, 12:18
Fq knows. I don’t like Tyson Fury but I don’t call him Luke in some weird attempt to prove something.
I’ve asked the OP this on a thread previously but when it became clear he’s either a child or an idiot I just put him on ignore.
I don’t know, several fighters changed their name,
Not me.Lenny Cravats wrote: ↑20 Aug 2023, 12:42Is it the same guy that always referred to AJ as 'The Nigerian'?leejonesjnr wrote: ↑20 Aug 2023, 12:18

Pretty sure John Fury showed around a birth certificate showing Tyson as his first name and Luke as middle name. Unfortunately it was soon discovered to be a fake birth certificate .. maybe Paris borrowed it off John afterwards.Controversial wrote: ↑20 Aug 2023, 12:48I don’t know, several fighters changed their name,
no big deal. Saying that I’m sure I can recall seeing his birth certificate being posted by his wife and it showed Luke as his middle name. Maybe I’m misremembering that though.

Jersey Joe took the name of his idol, but there are no reports he ever tried to make out it was his birth name.gilgamesh wrote: ↑20 Aug 2023, 14:57 It's really not an uncommon thing at all in Boxing history for a guy's Ring Name, and his actual name to be different.
Arnold Cream - Jersey Joe Walcott
Walker Smith Jr. - Sugar Ray Robinson
Rocco Barbella - Rocky Graziano
Reasons for this vary, but it's really not that uncommon. Maybe more uncommon these days than it was in years past, but not uncommon in the history of the sport as a whole.
It is for the ring. Not sure on Boxrec but I think it is.funso banjo baby wrote: ↑20 Aug 2023, 15:09maverick23 wrote: ↑20 Aug 2023, 09:31 If the Ngannou fight is an exhibition I.E. doesn’t count on the records, then Fury could well be out of the rankings by the end of the year all together due to being inactive and not having a pro boxing fight confirmed.
Is inactivity counted in the alphabet rankings ?
I asked someone I know who is into compiling family trees and they looked at the birth register, his first name really is Tyson apparently.tonyevs wrote: ↑20 Aug 2023, 13:46Pretty sure John Fury showed around a birth certificate showing Tyson as his first name and Luke as middle name. I only call him Luke for a bit of daft, but some people on here take it a tiny bit too serious.Controversial wrote: ↑21 Aug 2023, 04:28I asked someone I know who is into compiling family trees and they looked at the birth register, his first name really is Tyson apparently.tonyevs wrote: ↑20 Aug 2023, 13:46Pretty sure John Fury showed around a birth certificate showing Tyson as his first name and Luke as middle name. If this keeps going, he's gonna end up rated lower than the real lineal champion.polecateddy wrote: ↑06 Jan 2024, 11:57 Will he even be in the top 10 after another faded performance?
