“Don’t like it, don’t watch it” is not easily applicable in boxing. If I’ve paid a PPV or waiting for the main event on a show I am forced to sit through that crap and am not getting value for money IMO

I don’t think I’ve ever sat and watched an entire female fight, it’s absolutely avoidable if it’s not for you.
In your case it sounds like good old fashioned 1950s sexism, I don’t watch much female boxing in the same way that I don’t watch much of little tiny men.

I maybe a few comments earlier on this thread incurring that it’s more entertaining than the men - are silly. If you’ve got tier 5 boxers at it you might have an entertaining bout. With the ladies it’s a slap fest.
But I’m not back tracking.
Buy a PPV for what though? The Main Event and maybe the chief support. Then. the undercard.
Buy it or don’t.
Tbh. If a womens bout is on there and it spoils your evening. Go and make a cup of tea and a sarnie.

In that case, Lee, speaking as someone who was boxing-weaned on late 1980s Fight Night on Central, you're missing out. Khaosai Galaxy beating up someone at a crocodile farm? A bit of Raul Jibaro Perez at the Great Western Forum? Yes please, twice, with chips. Indeed, it was only when I started buying Boxing News when I was about 15 that I suddenly discovered that the Fight Night fights were about two weeks old when shown.
And back on the topic of women's fights, I don't watch loads, but I find Savannah Marshall's fights entertaining as she generally looks to take her opponents out. Three minute rounds will differentiate fighters like her and Shields from the weaker performers as it will give rise to more stoppages - better than the 10x2s ending up as 100-90 x 3 that seems to happen quite often.

Fair post. I don't buy UFC either. Been a big Thug Rose fan for a while though.

There are undoubtedly thousands of small men (and women) who are more skilled than me.
There’s not a ‘cut off’ as such, I just largely can’t get excited about boxers who I couldn’t imagine boxing myself. There are always exceptions, Hamed, Lomachenko etc, I was speaking more generally. I couldn’t tell you who holds any of the titles at fly or bantam for example.
