Thanks for that. You made my job easier. I was waiting to get back on my computer and put it al into a spreadsheet.. lolJonnyKupfer wrote: ↑13 Nov 2023, 15:29 Standings after 18 votes:
We can wait for more votes, but I don’t think that will change much.
#1 to #6 seem to be set.
#7-8 and #12-13 could change after more votes.
It's one of the issues with a points system and a small sample size. Not Ruthless-RKO's fault at all. Just what happens.CMCanavessi wrote: ↑13 Nov 2023, 16:53 Can't believe Ngannou is 14th when he has, LITERALLY, beaten nobody.
Going close with number 1 (now number 2) shows much more than chinning 20 top 500s and a couple of top 50s.CMCanavessi wrote: ↑13 Nov 2023, 16:53 Can't believe Ngannou is 14th when he has, LITERALLY, beaten nobody.
Personally what I find more surprising, is that so many have Fury at #2 when he just went life and death with Ngannou.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑13 Nov 2023, 19:50 i dont have ngan top 15, but i can understand the logic. you can argue he deserved a win over someone most people would've had #1 or #2. if someone thought he edged the fight, it makes sense theyd have him fairly high. its obviously an unusual situation
Might I suggest we do a separate vote for positions #14 and #15. There is a clear problem at the bottom end of the table. Which we knew already to be fair.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑13 Nov 2023, 17:28Thanks for that. You made my job easier. Gonn wait few more days. There’s no rush. No fights are being scheduled yet anyway.
Let’s see what more votes do.
Rules were set and no one’s done anything stupid like putting ddd or nganu number 1. I’d say just keep it. 14/15 will disappear pretty quick with any good win from the guys bellow then, or an activity from Whyte, wilder, Ruiz, ect.Finkel wrote: ↑13 Nov 2023, 22:48Might I suggest we do a separate vote for positions #14 and #15. My interpretation was that our rankings were always democratic in that one person's voice had the same weight as another. Though I recognize in a sense, they do, because as you say there was nothing in theory stopping me from voting Chisora #1.gregregegg wrote: ↑14 Nov 2023, 01:33Rules were set and no one’s done anything stupid like putting ddd or nganu number 1. You could redo your vote and put Wardley and Chisora as 1 & 2 and not rank Ngannou at all. I'm sure some people vote in a tactical way like this, especially at the top, so it wouldn't be that ridiculous.Finkel wrote: ↑14 Nov 2023, 03:29My interpretation was that our rankings were always democratic in that one person's voice had the same weight as another. But,
5 people want Ngannou ranked in the top 15. (30% of the vote)
9 people want Wardley ranked in the top 15. (50% of the vote)
7 people want Chisora ranked etc.
Just to be clear I don't have a horse in the race on the above three. Ngannou hasn't got a win to his name. Wardley is still fighting domestic level opposition. Chisora looks shot to bits. But it seems like the rules are being gamed quite a bit by some shouting louder than others.
No, you and gregregegg are right. If I'm being honest with myself, I am just still salty at Fury for making such a meal of it all.joshj909 wrote: ↑14 Nov 2023, 04:48You could redo your vote and put Wardley and Chisora as 1 & 2 and not rank Ngannou at all. In my mind, I thought based on his stellar performance against Fury, who on the list would he beat. And after the top three, it's slim pickingsmargaret thatcher wrote: ↑13 Nov 2023, 19:50 i dont have ngan top 15, but i can understand the logic. you can argue he deserved a win over someone most people would've had #1 or #2. if someone thought he edged the fight, it makes sense theyd have him fairly high. its obviously an unusual situation
