I seem to recall Poxon was in the corner for at least one of the Glencoffe fights?

Who was the trainer for the Hoye fight? I would have guessed Poxon but now you’ve said that, it sounds like Clinton was very happy with his camp then.
Poxon was his trainer when he won the World title. He’s not the only one of his immediate team that Clinton fell out with.
I was part of the backroom staff…. I havnt got a clue who you are on about
So what is his relationship like with his promoter?

blimey i'll leave reading into that if the chap has passed.
I’ve got his (Clinton’s) book. Haven’t read it yet but heard good things. I think it goes through the Port stuff in detail.
thanks Maverick, I am going to order Clinton's book if it is print, or look to buy a second hand copy. Clinton is the epitome of one of the good guys.
Theres a picture of me in it

Clinton and Dennis got on very well. Clinton was very loyal to the team around him.

I remember one trip to jersey…we had a great time

I will be very honest … the criticism I have of Dennis as a promoter .. he didn’t add fighters to His stable when he had Ricky Hatton, Clinton Woods and jamie McDonnell

I did not know he had McDonnell, I knew his father when he was a competitive bodybuilder, good family. His dad is on our gym wall as one of the champs our gym owner trained.

I always wondered about this as it seemed a no brainer. Had he lost the inf title by this point?

Clinton was cracking and always struck me as a nice bloke

You do realise that “got” is in the past tense?
