Losing in the first round didn't seem to both him at all, long term.

Interesting, I remembered the Kiko loss and then seeing he'd retired quite young. Somehow missed him winning a title.

Had always though of him as a classic example of a top amateur who wasn't sturdy enough for the pros.

Moorer lost to Tua in a round and he was already on a downward trajectory but still had the Jirov win.

Witherspoon had that shock loss to Bonecrusher and whilst he never had another title shot he had some good wins.

Saman Sorjaturong did exceptionally well after being bombed out in 2 rounds by Lopez.

Larios got stretched in a round by Issy Vasquez and it seemed to do him no harm. Vasquez also lost an early fight in a round.

Brilliant hindsight, it was Khans PPV debut, advertising him "joining the legends on Sky", he was a lightweight being matched with superfeatherweights with low power and being dropped (Warren saw the Craig Watson knockdown right before Khan turned pro)

This was the first fighter he had faced who was taller than him, the same weightclass as him, and a puncher. Warren blamed it on Jorge Rubio suggesting Prescott as an opponent

Cornelius Bundrage. Won a couple of world title fights after the wild 30 second loss to Sechew Powell, even beat Powell (on points) in a rematch. Probably made the most of his talent getting that far, is it unfair to say?

John McDermott beat Matt Skelton in a rematch after a first round loss to him.

It was fight of the year against Ricardo Cordoba, who took Rigondeaux to a split and definately gave him his proper welcome to the pros, knocking him down in round six too, Rigos hardest pro fight up until giant Amagasa then Lomachenko

It was a crazy fight between Cordoba and Dunne and a legit great fight, great win

I remember the Cornish 1st round KO against AJ, bless him, he did come back to challenge for the British title and went out on a win too, think he had to retire due to injury. I wonder what he's doing now? I always liked him as he always worked full time as well as boxing, always respect that as it must be 3 x as hard to juggle boxing with work.

He won 3 then lost on points against Sam Sexton for the British title. Then won his next fight first round KO and then retired.
