Neither of those lads would probably get past him either. Maybe there are some fights he can have in that circuit. It would have been best to do it while undefeated though. But maybe getting starched makes some of those Misfits types more likely to fight him.

But he's not a celebrity. Almost nobody has heard of him even in the UK.

Tommy Fury was the brother of one of the few boxers people have heard of, and was on Love Island. Jake Paul had 127 billion (I may be wrong) followers on Instagram.

He might have a shot at being a one-off Jake Paul opponent if Jake Paul thinks he can beat him, but there's so many people clamouring for that gig - the best paid night of almost any professional boxer's career - that it's really very unlikely.

(You are wrong)… he does not have 18x the global population following him.

Really? Gosh.

Next you'll be telling me there's no such thing as exaggeration for effect.

I saw somewhere that Joey Essex was gonna fight, maybe the last bloke most would think is capable, but I think Tony Sims is his uncle, so I suppose he has at least something there.
Then again the Misfits earn far more than most pros

I hope it was an amicable split. I'm not sure anyone else will do a better job than Tibbs. Possibly Shane McGuigan.

It sounds very amicable from the interviews both have given, which is good. I enjoy watching him regardless of where his ceiling is, so be good to see him carry on. I think it would be good if his father is less in the limelight as he will be less gimmicky, and he can just focus on boxing. I hope he fights on undercards, maybe even do some fights off Matchroom perhaps GBM so there is less pressure (and they're both Dazn so that wouldn't be a barrier), I know MR have done this with some other fighters.

That's good to hear :TU:

I think Fisher should concentrate on winning the British title. A prestigious title that would mean a lot to Johnny.

I agree, a very good thing to aim for and no rush at all to get there, he won the Area title, could go English and then British.

Yeah, with his crowd could get some really big nights going for that run.

will be interesting to see with johnny, i think guys who are used to offensively bullying opponents at their level are especially prone to fall hard when they first get found out (and sure enough johnny fared worse in the allen rematch).

also wonder if he will be jittery in there now, i felt he didnt look as confident in the rematch even before the ko. lots of pawing at range, holding on. negative body language. will he be worried about running out of gas or getting chinned again? honestly wouldnt be surprised if he's ko'd again in the next year

but maybe he can put it behind him and improve, it's been done before of course. we';ll see. tbh i find him more interesting to now than when he was being hyped up mostly banging out fodder

Regardless of how good Johnny can be, and finding him genuine learning fights, surely at this stage you just butcher a few cans first.

3 cans back to back to back, then a nick webb then back to building depending on how those 4 fights went.

Gotta bury the L, get the confidence back, and avoid people that are freakishly tough for a bit.
