No way Fury won either fight in my book, I think they were closer than some people say but I had Usyk winning by 2 points in both fights. (115-113 and 116-114). A fighter, his team and their fans will always be biased and argue their fighter won. Scoring is so subjective that's the problem.

Fury boxed a lot more cautiously 2nd time around, it never looked in doubt who was going to win - Fury wanted to avoid a clobbering.

There is absolutely zero need for a trilogy, Usyk is clearly the better man.

The thing with Usyk, is he does what is required. If he had felt the fight getting away from him, he would up his workrate, - which is precisely what happened in fight 1 - Fury had 3 good rounds, and Usyk started moving his feet quicker to put more pressure on Fury, leading to the opening that should rightly have resulted in a stoppage loss, but for the referee's incompetence.

In the second fight. he only outlanded Usyk in one round. The judges might have said it was close, but it wasn't.
Neither did I.

Listening on the radio it sounded like fight 2 was going to be razor tight - watching it back though, it was arguably a clearer victory than the first one and Fury was actually a lot worse in fight 2.

Considering the fight didn't have the same drama as fight 1, with Fury not hurt etc - I had the rounds identical in both fights when watching them - 9-3 with a 10-8 round obviously in fight 1. So given Fury was still dazed after the 9th in Fight 1, I thought Usyk did a more clinical job in fight 2.

In terms of this thread - I thought it read as Fury hints at two thousand and twenty sixth comeback. Just shut up and fight or don't. Yes I would like to see him back, but this is something like the 3rd time since his retirement he has hinted at a U-turn.

Yeah, the attention seeking is pretty boring.

With all signs once again point to Tyson Fury returning to boxing in the coming year iFL TV just recently caught up with him to ask him a few questions, beginning with one about a potential fight against Anthony Joshua, reasoning that it would be awful if both of them retired for good without ever having met in the ring.

“I don’t think so,” Fury responded. “I think you’ve had the use of me, all of you, for the past 20 years. I’ve made more f-ckin’ millionaires than the lotto has in this game, yeah. And if I never box again, I’m happy. Very happy, and you should be too because I’m out of this in one piece, still good looking, still able to turn every content out there and make ‘em happy. That’s what I do, I make people happy. I bring joy…I miss you all, too. God bless you, and I’ll see you in 2026 if the deal’s right.”

Fury was then asked about recent social media comments about a third fight with Oleksandr Usyk after he feels he was hard done by the first two times.

“I’ve watched that fight 100 times, even the last one, yeah — the last one more than the first one, really, because he did have that one round in Round 8 where he wobbled me all over the place, although I didn’t go down. I refused to go down like a f-ckin’ Spartan. But the second fight, wasn’t close, man. Please, go and watch the fight. Even the commentators afterwards, they all said four rounds up to Fury — all of ‘em! Watch TNT Sports!”

Finally, Fury would take a dramatic stance on the upcoming Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua fight.

“I think Jake Paul chins AJ if they fight. 100%. If they fight I’m putting £1M on Jake Paul.”
Christ, still whingeing about fights nobody but him and his old man think he won - and I don't even think his old man thinks that.
A good few thought he won the first. Ive no idea why the second gets all the controversy.
I'll give you that, so about 5 then?

He's not willing to admit it's his opinion so he's saying "some people" said it which is actually just himself, Tyson, John and Frank.

The only reason Fury wouldn't come back is if he didn't get the right offer.

Realistically he will get an offer he can't turn down

Not once anywhere have i said anything positive about his performance in the rematch. I think he was terrible and everything Big John said afterwards was correct. I think Greg Marriot said it as well. He looked badly out of shape and fought scared. I thought Tyson was well on his way to victory in the first fight, like everyone else, but a fight is 12 rounds. I don't think how he lived or his opposition between Wilder 2 and Usyk 1 helped at all but that's his fault.

Apparently, for majority of the fights they’ve put on, they’ve paid just above market value.

All these inflated purses you see online are bullshit.

Where’s this info from, I was under the impression they were paying significantly more than normal which is why everyone was clambering to be on their bills? I’m sure Josh Padley said he bought a house outright after his fight with Stevenson, I can’t see him getting that sort of money prior to this.
