I use the £90 Evelerlast velcro's and also have a pair of £40 Londale pro's for bashing the bags.
Both 16oz.
Using something like 10oz for sparring will maybe injure your opponent and if your technique is crude, may injure you too if you clock an elbow.
Interestly Tony Laing (Kirklaing's brother) has been doing a bit of coaching/training on Saturday mornings lately.. remember him anyone ? good bloke.
But anyway, my advice would be to learn how to wrap your hands properly, forget the £15 nasty lonsdale's in soccer world as they have foam padding and zero wrist support and you could end your gym career before it begins if you wreck your hands/wrist by belting a heavy bag in those things.
Froch likes the Rival glove, I prefer the Everlasts. But you should be allowing at least £40+ for a reasonable pair mate.
