The problem with Sky is that a sh*tload of your monthly payment goes towards Premiership football coverage. The actual budget set aside for boxing must be tiny in comparison and I'm afraid I just can't be bothered to line the pockets of those already overpaid diving, cheating footballer fairies any more.

The above line-up is pretty good but as some have already stated, it's no more than Sky Sports subscribers deserve.

The truth is that very few of the domestic matches get me excited... I actually find myself looking forward mostly to the Williams vs Skelton rematch more than anything else domestically on Sky!!....

Both De La Hoya - Mayorga and Corrales - Castillo are the 2 biggest fights over the next 2 months and good undercards aswell.

I think we are getting more!!! So far I think they've only managed to buy rights to screen a few fights but are bidding for more. All the Top Rank fights, I don't work for SKY

I presume like in previous years we will probably get Barrera's fight, Mosley - Vargas and Taylor-Winky.

Aren't SKY already comitted to the Cotto-Malignaggi fight? It is the same night. And to be honest, I'd rather watch the beautifully skilled Cotto against the mouthy Malignaggi, as opposed to Tarver-Hopkins.

Tarver is so, so out of line when he claims that it's racist for Cotto to have a ppv on the same night. Cotto and Arum had it planned from this time last year. MaxBoxing's Doug Fischer put it it well when he previewed Tarver-Hopkins: I think his tag line was "Who Cares" I sure don't. If ever there was a fight that had snoozefight written all over it, Tarver-Hopkins is it.

Maybe they will not be on different times in the states, or they could show Hopkins bill (and thus far that PPV is shaping up to be the better package) on delayed.

Remember when Sky showed the Morales vs Espadas II PPV and Toney vs Holyfield PPV both live and on the same night.

He was one of the main people slagging them off for not showing the Mayweather v Judah fight and obviously is pleased that they are not giving up on boxing as has been reported.

Yes, SKY have been crap for ages, but this has to be the best line up for some time, and all on normal SKY apart from Hatton's PPV!!!

Yes we pay subscription fees but so do the americans, but also they will have to folk out $50 dollars a fight.

I presume the big US fights are expensive and showing them live (2:00am) sunday morning isn't prime time for UK!!! But if we keep on requesting the big fights hopefully they will understand (like at the moment) that the big fights generate massive interest in the UK anno!!!

No other countries will be showing ALL these fights live, I'm just suprised SKY are showing all of them plus the best of the domestic fights.

Lets hope they are consistent and continue this all the time.

The Hatton fight is also looking more interesting now, after checking through Collazo's record here on Boxrec - decent test for Hatton at the bigger weight. and Common Easham!! Clinton Woods fight with DeLisle is a rematch of a cracker a couple of years ago, when Woods got knock down in the first and came back to stop DeLisle in the 12th round - could be fireworks.

All of the major fights in May and June are going to get shown.

These actions on the US boxing front may just see Sky retain my subscription fee but this had better be the start of an upward trend, as opposed to a pleasing 'blip'.

I think they might look at the outcome of the Hatton PPV figures before deciding to continue with the big US fights.

I reckon most of this is to do with fans e-mailing, complaining and requesting the big fights.

The screening rights aren't really that expensive and probably be even cheaper if SKY do a long term deal with HBO & SHOWTIME, but the major problem is HBO & SHOWTIME are rival companies and probably want exclusive contracts with one or the other.

The other issue is SKY like to do their own shows and not use the HBO or SHOWTIME feeds, which costs the majority of the money.

For the summer SKY have picked the best fights, and apparently plenty more to come.

You can't forget David Haye, Carl Froch, John Murray are all possible PPV men in the future, so its looking good for SKY to invest money into Boxing.

A spokesman for SKY did mention late last year that allegedly's contract was ended because of the meaningless title fights - IBO, WBU and they were planning to concentrate on the bigger fights WBC, IBF, WBA,WBO from now on.

Lets see what happens, but for now SKY have definately put on the best summer ever

No, but with no football to show they must have plenty more space in their schedule and a bigger budget to spend on other sports. Let's see if this type of boxing coverage continues when the new footy season starts. Seem to remember last summer was pretty good for boxing, but come September it all dried up.

I'm secretly hoping to see Oscar get whooped by Mayorga, I've just got this feeling that this could be one fight too far for Oscar, who hasn't looked truly impressive in quite some time. Mayorga's style is likely to age better as he is a brawler, and he may just overwhelm Oscar, who I don't think will be able to hurt him.

David Haye, John Murray and Carl Froch as PPV fighters! Are you avin a laff mate? Dont you have to put bums on seats to be PPV Material? Murray is a possible in a few years, but Haye and Froch - no chance.

I just hope the official viewing figures for these fights are as good as Sky are hoping for. Otherwise this could be the end of the road for live late night boxing....
